Book about good and evil and about our perception.

Robert Saniscalchi gives us a great reading in Freedom’s Light. It’s not an easy story to go through as it deals with raw human emotions that are triggered by tragic events. This book specifically links the world before and after 9/11 and how that changed our perception of war and good and evil. The story goes through with the war in Afghanistan and Iraq and how that affects thousands (millions?) of lives not only in that zone of the world. It’s not only a war book. It’s about feelings and perceptions, family, friendship, and love. How one event can turn our world upside down in just one minute. It’s touching and heart-breaking and Saniscalchi offers the readers a brilliant piece of writing and storytelling. Sometimes, a book gives us not what we want but what we need. And that’s when the magic happens. Freedom’s Light is that good and you won’t regret it. I’ll surely check the other books by this author

Pursuit of Freedom's Light

Robert Saniscalchi has written his third book, Freedom's Light: A Rob and Tex adventure. This book follows on the heels of his previous two; Bullets and Bandages, and My Life for Her. A true patriot, Saniscalchi includes a preface in the beginning that rings so heartfelt today; namely that there is evil in the world, and we must overcome it with good. Rob takes the reader masterfully through the events of 9/11, and presents the stark contrast between the forces of good and evil. What begins as a quiet story about going hunting turns into a gripping drama in Iraq to fight the forces of evil. The beauty and appreciation of nature is a stark contrast that flows well within the story of fighting terrorism and the horrific events of 9/11. A gripping, inspiring story with a strong plot that will appeal to readers who not only like war stories, but want to reexamine history as wel

Well done!

It’s a good story, just not truly my cup of tea. The writing is good, the action scenes believable and the intrigue keeps you from getting bored. There was a bit much for me going on, I don’t mind an action novel, but the whole us vs them mindless mindset got a bit old after a while in.

Fiction Centred Around Real Events

Freedom's Light is a work of fiction, yet reading it, it felt like a factual book. The story centers around the September Eleven Attack and the changes it brought in the life of an average American. Luckily the September Eleven Attack is treated in a slightly impersonal manner, where although people are devastated, no one close in the protagonist's life is affected. Hence, as a soldier, Rob goes on a country mission to eliminate the terrorists and does not have a personal mission to fight against injustice. We are introduced to the highs and lows of a soldier's life and the various threats (both environmental and terrorist) that they have to overcome in the pursuit of their goals. There are losses of lives and many injuries, but, with clever planning and high skills, the objective is ultimately met.

Amazing

This book Freedom's Light is simply taking us to another level while listening... Robert J. Saniscalchi must either have experience in the military or did an excellent job researching. Such an amazing book.

Great audiobook.

Here is a book that looks at war from both good and evil, from both sides of the war. The author does a great job of providing many details and several points of view without confusing the reader and just pulling them in more. It doesn’t take long to really become attached to the main character and want to know what will happen next. While there were some points were more details could have been used but it didn’t really matter since we all know the details. The author does really bring out the story. Each location was well detailed and easy to imagine each. This was really a good story that moved quickly and made for a difficult book to put down. The author does a wonderful job of really brining to life the different points of view and really putting the Good Vs.

Osthir audiobook .

Author Robert J Saniscalchi brings us fictional tale, Freedom’s Light, in a very real, honest exploration of good and evil as related to the harrowing events of 9/11—and the aftermath left in its wake.

Saniscalchi’s story introduces us to his protagonist, Rob, embarking on a family hunting expedition within the quiet wilderness of New York State. The peaceful outing filled with brotherly bonding and banter is short-lived, however, as the characters are soon thrown into the horror of the 9/11 attacks and a subsequent military operation. This is all unfortunately foreshadowed by Rob’s warnings, who understands the fragility of freedom and how it must be protected (or the light will be extinguished). A soldier and patriot, Rob becomes deeply entrenched within an elite team called Light Force. The object of the military operation: To identify the source (a terrorist base in Afghanistan) of another possible attack on US soil, and stop it in its tracks.
