Meg Tallmadge is a veterinarian at a clinic in Laramie, Wyoming. She’s got a great job, great friends, deep ties to the family ranch, and big plans for her vet future. Sure, there are bumps in the road, like her mom’s continued denial about who Meg is and her painful and infuriating attempts to make Meg a “proper” woman. Then there’s Meg’s recent breakup with a girlfriend, which has her wondering why she can’t seem to open up to relationships. But her past is half a world away, caught up in her own life, relationship, and journalism career, and Meg isn’t one to chase the ghosts of past relationships. Even if they send you a birthday card and nudge what you thought were the closed-off parts of your heart. After all, second chances are the stuff of fantasies and movies where the good guy always gets a happy ending. You can’t count on something like that.

Western Lesbian Romance

This is a delightful & entertaining book(s). Andi Marquette is a new author to me. She is amazing. I will be looking for more books, blogs or whatever I can read from her. Both narrators are superb and give voices to the characters that are pleasurable. Paige McKinney does one book & Abbey Craden does the other. I would have loved them doing the book together. A dream come true for me because these 2 women are among my favorite narrators on Audible. Very talented women that wrote and narrated this book.

Loved this story. Page McKinney did a great job but as soon as Abby Craden started talking i was completely hooked. Her voice is amazing.
Again great story and worth the listen.

I like it..

I like it kinda more than like it but too long really for what it is. Not enough on the relationship between Meg and Gena before the break up. Or letting us experience the break up from both point of views. Centralized too much on Meg's career and her being lost. Need more sex, passion and more Meg and Gena. Than at the end its rushed to marriage. Also, too descriptive of everything. Some descriptions are great but when every moment, person or action has a long description its a bit boring. Love to read more books by Andi though.

enjoyable and charming with a slower pace

I think this book is much better than some of the reviews would lead you to believe. It has excellent narration, with Abby Craden doing the last ten hours. There was more detail in the writing which leads to the slower pace and caused me to see foreshadowing where there really wasn't any. Steamy scenes and realistic characters.

Great story

Loved this book and although the 16+ length sounded long it really seemed much shorter. I want to read more from this Author.

Both Paige McKinney and Abby Craden narrated wonderfully as usual, but I loved the second part more, I think that the first part could have been shorted and part of part two, no need to have two separated books.
Really recommend this book.

Feel good stories with emotional depth and humor. I hope this author will serve up some more great characters, plots and settings. The second narrator was better cuz she's so right there in the story. I wish all books in this genre left such a happy glow!
