Publisher's summary

Both an ancient, "found" wisdom text and a sumptuous, epic novel, Gaia Codex reveals the hidden histories of a world long forgotten, the secret wisdom of an ancient lineage of women, the Priestesses of Astera. Set in a near future of impending societal and environmental collapse, the novel is a tale of hope and remembrance, as well as an inspired vision of humanity's origins and of the potential we hold for conscious evolution. With growing numbers of international readers, Gaia Codex is a flourishing phenomena that is capturing the passionate Spirit of the Feminine Rising and our deepening reconnection to our Mother Earth.

The Story...

Lila Sophia had heard the whispered tales, stories of an ancient lineage of women, the Priestesses of Astera, who through the rise and fall of civilizations have protected codes of cultural and planetary rejuvenation, the Secrets to Life. Although these women have lived in every culture, few have known of their existence-until now. Born onto a planet in the throes of environmental and social crises, Lila's life implodes when her mother, Dominique, suddenly dies, and Lila is left with a mysterious illuminated manuscript that reveals that Lila is both a priestess and a genetic experiment called the Metamorphosis Project, a fusion of alchemy and magic designed to rebalance humanity's relationship with the Mother Earth. In search of her sister-priestesses and further understanding of her origins, Lila journeys from the mythic countryside of Glastonbury to Delphi, to an ancient hidden temple in the center of Paris, and finally, into the heart of the Amazon jungle. On her quest, Lila learns how to use her mutation to benefit Life. She also must decide between two passionate loves: a wise and beautiful sister-priestess, Rhea, and a mysterious man Theo, who has been waiting for her for millennia. Explore More: GaiaCodex.com

Critic reviews

" Gaia Codex is one of the most transformative books I've ever read. I literally stayed awake for over twenty four hours mesmerized and transported by its poetry, magic and beauty. Its a book that sources its wisdom far beyond time and space and yet its a book written precisely for this moment in time. I've given it to everyone in my circle and all have been transported by the story, reminded of their own essential nature, and called into something higher and wider then the visible life in which they partake. There are books that touch you and inspire you and then there is a sacred text like Gaia Codex that literally alchemizes who you know yourself to be. Don't miss this stunning offering by Seer and Mystic Sarah Drew. The time is urgent. The code is calling to you. The moment is now." (Amy Elizabeth Fox- CEO and Founder, Mobius Executive Leadership)
"Sarah Drew's Gaia Codex has the ring of truth disguised as fiction. Gripping, urgent in its message, and rich with relatable characters, Gaia Codex transported me to a world so radiant that I was disheartened to come back to reality . . . even in my disappointment about how many of us have tragically lost touch with our divine nature and with Mother Earth, I am filled with hope that one day, such fiction might become real life." (Lissa Rankin, MD, New York Times bestselling author of Mind Over Medicine: Scientific Proof That You Can Heal Yourself)
"A beautifully written, inspiring story, GAIA CODEX is a portal into a magical world, one that we can -- and must -- shapeshift into reality. Sarah Drew pierces the veils of perception that divide past from present and future; she brings joy and hope through a riveting tale that honors the wisdom and power of nature, the feminine, and a Loving Earth." (John Perkins, NYT Bestselling Author and CoFounder of Pachamama Alliance)

Superb emotive narration of The New Earth Reality

I was spell bound from start to finish and listened over and over always picking up new nuances and delving deeper into the rich subtext of Universal Truths of how to choose to experience life through the eyes of Love in the ever changing landscapes of the transitioning New Earth. Pure Gold!

Glittering and Royal and Intense and Momentous

I read Gaia Codex a couple of years ago, but reading and listening to it this time around was magical. I'm in a book study for it on Facebook, and author Sarah Drew is now a friend of mine there. Beautiful work. I adore.

Listened to by a man.

I still don't fully know what prompted me to buy this audio book.. But I do know that I now have a lasting and deeper love and respect for my wife! I know her natrual ability to become aware of her connection to the sisters of estera will continue to grow inside her and how she will start to realize her true destiny on this earth, in this form of existence and plain of consciousness. We're all connected and are one. I have sincere and deep gratitude for the words written here and will now be more aware of my goals and become more aligned with the continued support of our great Mother Earth.
This book was narrated very well and I listened to it non-stop until finished.

Good story ; awful narration

I found this story to be really interesting and inspirational. Certainly hopeful for our times. However, the author should never have been the reader. She sounds somewhat like a 3-year old who is out of breath. Pronunciation of common words was stilted which I found to be very annoying. Read this one instead of listening to it.

Audio tragedy for potential treasure

I so wanted to LOVE this experience, but...☹️
Gaia Codex! The name holds such promise!
I may wait a few months and try reading it again on my own. Hopefully the wounds inflicted by the audio experience will have healed. 🥴
The premise is magnificent. The characters intriguing. Not sure I can fully judge the literary execution of the premise and the character development though, because the audio component was so distorting and distracting.
Really tragic in the big picture when trying to share such a potentially magnificent and valuable story and message.
I can’t quite understand how or why an author would do this to their own work... to the fruit of their creative labor.
The dissonance between the voice of the character and the voice of the reader was so vast, and the reader’s delivery was so affected and contrived, that at times it seemed the reader was reading the words for the first time ... and in a foreign tongue! In light of the fact that it was being delivered in the author’s own voice, it made me question whether it actually was the author’s work, or whether it was simply channeled by her from the goddess.
Kudos on the concept! But let go of ego and engage a professional reader to deliver the story ... in the characters’ voices. I guarantee it will have a more powerful and positive impact for your readers.
And maybe rework the ending? Unless it was intentional irony that the story of an ancient codex of our origin should end abruptly with an an announced, “The End!” ??
This is a story that begs for an epilogue and to taper softly into at least a subtle suggestion that the story ... continues. IMHO.
Read it! But take a hard pass on the audio version.
