Publisher's summary

Four novellas, four amazing stories.

One night only!

The Amazing Conroy regales you with four unique stories specially selected for your pleasure. Join us, as we all get our tickets, take our seats, and listen with rapt attention!

Barry’s Tale

He came for the barbecue, but he found a little girl in need of help. Can his hypnotic skill save her from an uncontrollable power that has her marked for death?

A hypnotist, his alien companion animal, and a little girl with terrifying abilities. Also, a barbecue festival.

What could possibly go wrong?

The Amazing Conroy travels to the edge of Human Space to attend the best barbecue competition in the galaxy. When a 6-year-old becomes infatuated with Reggie, his buffalito, the hypnotist discovers something amiss with the child.

Gel possesses a dangerous potential - one she cannot control.

It will require all of Conroy's hypnotic talents, and lots of audacity, luck, and barbecue sauce for him to save her.

If he fails, the girl could die. Or she might simply hurl everyone into the sun!

Calendrical Regression

A five billion year alien vendetta. The truth of the Mayan calendar revealed.

What does a CEO of a billion-dollar corporation do for vacation? He goes back to his gig as a stage hypnotist. But when a fan/stalker shows up backstage, chaos erupts and Reggie the buffalito is taken hostage!

Conroy’s only hope to rescue him means helping extraterrestrial librarians with a conspiracy and regressing a volunteer back through centuries of past lives to untangle the origin of the Mayan calendar.

Because when alien technology meets hypnosis, the Amazing Conroy is sure to live up to his name. Unless a vengeful ancient priest kills them all first.

Barry's Deal

What happens on Triton stays on Triton.

A black-market auction for a bottle of the galaxy's most unobtainable liqueur lures Conroy. In the company of his oldest friend, he'll defend himself against a mad bomber, acquire a new enemy with mental powers, and attempt to broker a deal with a really smelly alien.

That's the easy part. To win the day he'll need to pull off an alien diplomatic coup, hypnotize Earth's wealthiest industrialists, and beat a casino at its own game. With tens of billions of dollars on the line, not to mention the lives of his friends, Conroy will have to be pretty amazing indeed.

Trial of the Century

What wouldn't you do to save your best friend?

The Amazing Conroy has left the corporate world behind and fled Earth. Now Reggie is dying and the buffalito’s internal nuclear furnace is growing unstable.

Smart, fun, and lively

Clever and light-hearted, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this while working on repetitive tasks. Also, I want a buffalito.
