Loved the PNW setting of this story. Good story premise and the character development is a good balance of conflict, compassion, and chaotic. The narrative started off slow, but ended at a good pace.

Starts with energy, then a bang, and we’re off!
Another excellent book in the series and another one I didn’t want to put down…in my case stop listening to.
Gathering Mist starts with energy, then a bang…and we’re off!
The storyline was fantastic and the details vivid. I enjoyed all my favorite characters and Nancy Wu’s narration.
Margaret Mizushima never disappoints. Her mystery, suspense, thriller, and crime fiction books are top notch!
I highly recommend this book and the series. Enjoy!!!

Incredible descriptive text
All the books in the series were wonderful, but this book was the best. The description of scenes, events,and emotions made me feel as if I were there. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, including the surprising ending.

Timber Creek K- 9 is our favorite mystery series!
My family and I ALWAYS excitedly await the next book of Timber Creek K-9 series! And we are never disappointed.
Once started, it is impossible to put down. So not surprisingly we loved the latest book, Gathering Mist!
Honestly these books should be a Netflix series. It would be amazing, and something the whole family can enjoy together, which is getting harder to find these days. And so many dog lovers out there too.
We have come to KNOW and LOVE these characters..and the mysteries that surround them are always SO well constructed and suspenseful. I don’t know how she keeps creating all these “page turning” stories - but she does!
I HIGHLY recommend Gathering Mist and this entire series..it is so refreshing. I have read them in order and really enjoyed seeing the characters develop throughout the books. That is what I personally recommend, however you don’t have to. And all the books in this series are equally wonderful.
Also, I love the narrator, Nancy Wu! She does a perfect job giving all these characters their voices.
She is very easy to listen to, and is the icing on the cake for this audible series.

Another winner
Im very much enjoying Mattie’s journey in learning to trust. Cole and his eldest daughter also are developing.. The youngest, Sophie, seems like a very young 9 yr old. Her speech and behavior seems like that of a child years younger! Let the kid grow up! She has been through a lot already…she should be a wanting more independence. Just a thought.
