Había una vez un gato y un ratón; que vivían en una vieja, vieja habitación El gato amigo del ratón quería ser; para así uno del otro poder depender. El ratón al principio estuvo dudoso; de que pasase lo peor fue temeroso. Escuchó que es difícil ser amigo de un gato; que traicionan y que por eso es insensato. Pero la actitud del gato fue muy decidida; incluso dijo que podrían compartir la comida El invierno se aproxima y hay que guardar; mucha comida para las ansias poder aguantar. El ratón aceptó y como amigos andaban; incluso por su nombre se llamaban. Se ayudaban uno al otro en cualquier obligación; una amistad tan extraña para un gato y un ratón. Un recipiente con mantequilla un día encontraron; y les revolvió el estómago cuando la olfatearon.
