Loos followed up with But Gentlemen Marry Brunettes in 1927, which also became a film in 1955. Together, these novels offer a satirical glimpse into the Roaring Twenties, humorously exploring whether gentlemen truly prefer blondes or marry brunettes–an idea that still resonates today.
