EXACTLY what I want

A great guide, much more than just a simple phrasebook, and a great choice. Mine's been enormously helpful, and there's nothing about it I would change.

A detailed guide

A lot of the translations are straight to the point, with chapters dedicated to different things such as counting, yen conversions, traveling, hotels and ryokans, idle conversations, and so much more. I will happily recommend this book to anyone who enjoys learning or needs a quick lesson in German.

Nice

Teaches useful words and everyday phrases instead of teaching how to conjugate every verb.. CD has a good pace and nice voice and it follows the book so u can see what u are hearing then the book is wry good for travel support..

Awful!

It seems like the narrator is racing to get through as many phrases as possible. He doesn't break the phrases down, there is no repetition, and there really isn't enough time to repeat his phrases. If you're trying to learn German, then the Paul Nobel audio courses will serve you better. I already took 2 of them, but I wanted to try something new and get a different perspective. I only used this book for roughly 15 minutes when I couldn't handle it anymore. I want my money back.
