So the Armies of Good and Evil are massing, the four Bikers of the Apocalypse are revving up their mighty hogs and hitting the road, and the world's last two remaining witchfinders are getting ready to Fight the Good Fight. Atlantis is rising. Frogs are falling. Tempers are flaring, and everything appears to be going to Divine Plan.

Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not particularly looking forward to the coming Rapture. They've lived amongst Humanity for millennia, and have grown rather fond of the lifestyle. So if Crowley and Aziraphale are going to stop it from happening, they've got to find and kill the AntiChrist (which is a shame, really, as he's a nice kid). There's just one glitch: someone seems to have misplaced him.

Phenomenal narration...best yet from Audible.

Wonderful novel. Truly exceptional narration. Jarvis is a master at capturing the essence of characters.

Loved every second of it.

Jarvis did a marvellously especially with the impersonation of David Tennant's performance in the show.

Very fun, smart humor and easy to listen to. The mini series is incredibly faithful to the book.

Perfect!

I love the story and the way it was read! Well, you could never really go wrong with a Neil Gaiman! Aaand I know I'm so late into the game, but this made me very interested to read/listen to Terry Pratchett's! As for the narrator, I wasn't too keen at first but Martin Jarvis is talented and would love to listen to more of his works.

Great overall

Loved the story and nice voice performance also from the story teller. One of the most enjoyable books on audible so far.

Sweet Story on How/Why to Keep the Planet Alive

A sort of kids retelling of the argument for social engineering and reasonable reform. The Apocalypse (the undoing) and the total redoing of the world are refused, and humanity gets another chance to behave reasonably (maybe outside the pulls and pushes of external forces).
The book is a great piece of English humor. The dialogues between the kids are warm and endearing.

Not the best version

You’ll find better audio versions of this book elsewhere (and apparently could find it here until recently), but this is currently the only one here, presumably because it’s the newest. Martin Jarvis reads well, but I disagree with some of his choices in characters’ voices.
I’ll return it as soon as the Stephen Briggs version becomes available again.

Excellent story, wonderful narration.

Fresh take on Armageddon! Well written and wonderfully executed, I'd recommend this book to any who enjoy a little super natural and imagination.
