Disappointing but good for VERY casual listen

Three stars because they pass the time but 1 star because they don’t always give the fact that you’re supposed to use to solve the mystery. Also far too short.

Warning—this does not give the 20 seconds promised between end of the story and the solution.
Narrator is just plowing through, not putting thought into how phrases should be read. But his voice is steady enough that it is a good noise in the background.

Good brain teaser

If you keep going through without pausing it gives the challenge of quickly solving the case. The reading is a bit stilted but enjoyable overall.

Solve the mysteries yourself...

I grew up reading the Encyclopedia Brown series where you read a short chapter and then tried to guess the solution, the answers were always at the back of the book. Got Time? Volume 1 has a very similar format and it's a fun way to spend a little time.

The stories are short, easy to listen to, and have simple solutions that you can actually figure out based on what you read/heard. A couple of the stories sounded like repeats but that was OK.

I listened to the audiobook of Shirley McCann's book. The narrator was OK, though I had to turn the volume all the way up on my phone and pay attention so I could hear what he was saying.

Overall, it was a fun little listen, the stories are all clean which is a bonus, and I do plan on listening to the next couple of volumes in the series.
