I'm so glad I started spooky season with this romantic suspense!! I was hooked from the epigraph 😅

Remi and her brother inherent  their uncle's  rundown Victorian home in a gloomy town with very weird people and even a weirder neighbor. Her plan is to renovate it and sell it, but the house seems haunted 😶‍🌫️ This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It felt like the best rollercoaster ride 🎢 If you’re looking for spooky and eerie vibes, I highly recommend this book asap!! I could always count on @sophie_lark_author to deliver sick and twisted with the spice extra spicy 😗🤌🏻

Wow! What a story! This was such a wild ride and I rarely knew where things were going. Remi buys a new house with her brother in a new town to renovate. But it comes with the grumpiest neighbor who has many bad rumors about him throughout town. Dane is a recluse who doesn't do much but work the night shift since losing his wife and son.

Dane and Remi start out on a bad foot absolutely hating each other. But their chemistry quickly sparks. Dane falls head over heels and there is no denying their pull. The spice.... It's SPICIN!!!

There's mystery, suspense, ghosts?!, body parts, murder, swoony moments and more!

The audio!! so good! I felt like I was inside a movie.

Oh my word! I read this as an audiobook and Conor Crais is my new favorite narrator. He completely brought Dane to life, and whew!!
This is a story of twists and turns and full of mystery and intrigue (and yes spice) set in a very spooky setting. It will keep you guessing until the end. Well done!

Quick, fun and spicy.🌶️

I really liked it. Was it a work of art no. But it was good all the way yes! Characters are well developed and there reasoning actually makes sense. With how short the story is I was surprised how much detail was fit in while still feeling like it was a quick. Can’t wait to dive into the next book.

Interesting

Not what I expected at all! There was fast, insta-lust between Dane, the eccentric night doctor, and the new neighbor Remi. There are dark secrets the town keeps, and new secrets revealed. Some parts of the story fell short. Like the sheriff and his cronies, but it was a side story and not as important. Jude is a little sh*t. His behavior was more of a 15 year old than a 20 year old. I enjoyed the twists. I had a feeling it was one or the other.

This audio is done in duel narration. Victoria Connelly does an amazing job, especially with the male parts, and the emotions came through in her voice making me feel like I was in the story and not just listening. Conner Crais is swoon-worthy. Both have emotional depth that keeps you in the story.

The author definitely put an imagination to the upmost creative degree. Couldn’t help but to fall in love with all the characters.

I liked the twists and surprises in the story , don’t care so much for the explicit sex parts but it was ok

Creepy with a side of Spice

3.5⭐️ Dane and Remi are the epitome of opposites attract. Their story is unconventionally hot and uniquely spicy. This was a fun read for spooky season! Remi is renovating her uncles house after he passed and his doctor/neighbor is a tad odd and a bit of a dick. Remi has also had a series of misfortune in her life…her parents died in a fire and only her and her brother survived. And things went south with her fiance…the mystery and suspense are great! Liked this one and excited to meet Dane’s brother!
