Hazel secretly knew it was wrong, but she did whatever she could to help her family. That was until her mother suddenly turned on her, and kicked her out on the street. With no where else to go, Hazel reached out to her father, who she hardly knew because of the distance. Hazel’s father was now married, successful, and had two step daughters around Hazel’s age.
When he offered for Hazel to come live in Houston, she had no clue what to expect. She certainly didn’t expect to be in the company of someone so rich and so famous like Malik Cruz.
Malik was a professional football player by day, and a thug by night. With connections to the cartel, Malik was living a double life and sharing his secrets with no one. Stuck in his ways, Malik was a man of little words, and had a small circle he didn’t let many in. One of the only people Malik trusted was his cousin Devonte, who was the complete opposite of him in every way.
Devonte, didn’t have a small circle, and spent his life going from woman to woman. He was a gambler who took risk some wouldn’t dare. Devonte never seen a bet he wouldn’t place, or a woman he wouldn’t sleep with.So of course when he saw Hazel’s step sister Destiny, he had to know the chick behind the counter.
This caused several things to transpire, and Hazel and Malik to meet on unexpected terms.

I have loved a Thug!
Houston (H-town stand up) is the backdrop for some serious drama! This book follows the lives of young women entangled in a web of secrets, leading to intense drama.
Katrina’s actions, especially concerning her husband’s daughter, are jaw-dropping. The revelations about Hazel’s life being in danger add a layer of suspense. The storyline is wild, from the scheming stepmother to the chaotic mother figure—this poor girl can’t catch a break!
A word of caution: this book is filled with profanity. Overall, it’s a gripping read that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
