Resumen del Editor

Tired of her humdrum life in a quaint town's diner, Rachel Brookes is ready to make big changes in her life. Ideally with motherhood and a loving partner. Since that’s not happening, she settles for being part of the Shifter Surrogate Program. This puts her on the path of the strongest, hottest and baddest dragon shifter ever.

Marcus, alpha of the Artemis dragon thunder, can’t find the source of young shifters vanishing, leaving a chilling trail of kidnappings across various clans and packs. Along with that, his family and den are pressuring him to secure an heir. When he meets his new surrogate, he discovers they have a deeper bond than he could have imagined.

An elusive adversary threatens to destroy their newfound happiness. As the shifter world trembles, Marcus must protect his fated mate and the life they've created. Can he find the unknown enemy and safeguard their love? And will Rachel embrace the unforeseen risks of love in a world of supernatural danger?

Their fiery hearts

Marcus and Rachel are a combustible duo. He's unlike the shifters who frequent the diner, always gentlemanly and sweet. She's feisty with her passion, boldness in her every move with the dragon. When darkness comes to their doorstep in the form of an enemy from within, it will take all their courage and smarts to save their thunder. Steamy as any MT tale with all the shifter goodness we have come to love. AI narrator - eh.

It's a nice concept.

I like the idea. I realize that it was probably supposed to be a quick read and maybe that's why everything seemed a little rushed. I think sometimes the author forgot things weren't explained didn't would make references to things out of the blue without the surrounding information that kinda made you want to go wait, what? For what it is it's not completely horrible because there is somewhat of a story there and the starts of good ideas that are really fleshed out in my opinion. Like I said sometimes references are made as if you've entered in the middle of the conversation or something. And even though that's the case, it was something about this one had me still waiting to see if it got any better instead of adding it to the I cannot finish pile. Despite the fact that this concept of the virtual narrator I believe is a very bad idea. The computer might have a human or rather I more like human tone to it now, but apparently it still lacks the ability to change in flexion According according to what's being expressed. Even when someone is not voice acting. When you're reading a part that is just naturally say angry or excited or erotic weathering you do the profound overreacted voice inflections as an actor would or you just add a certain paste your wording you still have more expression to what's going on, then the virtual narrator's are capable of. They do seem to be capable of adding like a somber or excited tone. There were parts that were read in altogether the wrong tempo and inflection for what was going on and this may have added to the proceeds gaps in continuity and unrealistic reactions.--Ldy Julanna-
