About this listen
Had enough of relationships which are deficient in empathy? Had enough of people who are emotionally unavailable? In this audiobook, you'll learn why you're attracting them into your life and what to do about it.
We'll talk about what codependents, empaths, and narcissists all have in common: childhood emotional neglect (CEN). We'll discover how to de-program from this faulty childhood programming to recognize and avoid toxic thinking that leads to toxic relationships.
This book is not only helpful for preventing destructive relationships, but also for coping with them if in a co-parenting or co-worker dynamic that is unavoidable. With strategies on how to deal with a narcissist (or someone who is empathy-deficient), you will also learn how to practice more self-love through practical, real-world advice on setting and maintaining healthy boundaries - including knowing when and how to go "no contact".
Isn’t it time you have the happy and healthy relationships you deserve with emotionally available and empathy-sufficient people?
Yes. It is!
And, with this audiobook, that ideal thought can become more of a reality.

Story
To grow in recovery, we must grow up emotionally. This means getting honest with ourselves and facing up to the self-defeating thoughts and actions that put our sobriety at risk. Although there are as many ways to mess up recovery as there are alcoholics and addicts, some general themes exist, which include: confusing self-concern with selfishness; not making amends; using the program to try to become perfect; not getting help for relationship troubles; and believing that life should be easy. Allen Berger explores the 12 most commonly confronted beliefs and attitudes that can sabotage recovery.

Enlightening and helpful!
This book was really enlightening and helpful for me during a difficult time with a family situation I was involved in. I appreciated the down to earth information that was given in a way that the everyday person could under and I appreciated that it wasn’t sugar coated but was said with complete honesty. Even though the information was heavy it was said with humor and a light hearted spirit throughout which was encouraging and uplifting. I definitely recommend this book to anyone going through or dealing or assisting someone in a narcissistic relationship. It didn’t just address the issues but it was helpful with the healing process that is so necessary in these situations. Most books discuss the issues but don’t give healing advice but this book offers a level of healing.
I definitely recommend this book!

Finally somebody who was really speaking from her heart I have read and downloaded ALOT of reads about narcassistic abuse and narcissist in general, but by far this one has been hands down the most helpful. The astrological aspects made me take a deeper look into my own birth chart and appy placements to major situations that have happened in my life WOW is all I can say besides thankyou I now have a better understanding of the direction I need to go in and the confidence to do so. !!! THANKYOU

Wow. That’s all I can say about how great this book is
I originally was looking for a book help me understand and fix my issues with my husband who is very verbally and emotionally abusive. However he also can be so loving and we have a great chemistry in the bedroom and are both very attractive to each other. This book made me realize the type of person he is.

First review
At first I was unsure if this book was really meant for me but after taking the time to listen to it. I feel this is what I needed to hear a long time ago. A lot that was told in the book resonated with me 100%. With the situations where I have been , there was not one thing I could say was untrue or faked. Having the chance to hear someones personal experiences with Narcissists makes a huge difference. Then just reading plain theory or made up examples from a psychology book. I can reccomend this to anyone who has had problems in relationships, friendships or feels that there is something wrong with the people that surround you. But you are unable to put your finger on the subject or the cause. If that is the case, then this book is for you.
