About this listen

"If we fall, humanity is lost. Those are the stakes."

The Darkness War rages on, and a war weary Jonathon Hunter faces obstacles which only humans can create, while an enemy which keeps growing stronger, continues to force him to retreat. Saving humanity is the goal, but can Jon be excused for thinking some of it just doesn't want to be saved? Extraordinary events require extraordinary responses, but is Jon still up to the challenge?

Humanity has its bolt hole in another galaxy, and Jon must stop the aliens arriving there before the Door closes, so the survivors will be safe. It's his job to ensure no alien enters Outback, in spite of those wanting to be more aggressive, and take bigger risks, with consequences he dreads happening.

In the end, Jon knows someone has to do the impossible, and maybe even the unthinkable. The safety of humanity carries a price tag. Jon knows this. His team know this. But only Jon knows the true price to be paid.

When all that's left is one insane gamble, will they let him be: the Hero to the End?

Great Sci-fi

I kinda listen to these books… oh, shoot, I listened to entire series in just over four days. Binged. Yes. Delightful? Yes. Worthwhile? Yes. End of series? Felt very much like Jon’s crew.

Well worth a read or listen to. I’m sure be mulling over the series, and it’s ending over the next few days. Makes you think. Make you ask questions. Well worth a read. Kudos Timothy Ellis. Well done.

Jonathon Hunter

I really enjoyed the character development. The time travel part of this story is mind bending. I'm already planning to re listen to this story over again on my next trip.

I teared up at the end

Amazing writing I really enjoyed the end . I liked that it was not just the hero winning, think multiple layers of onion.

Could of done better

Not sure what happened, supposed to be the end, and it was setup to end so well, but then it took a nose dive at the very end. Don't know if I'm more sad about the series being over or how it actually ended, I get that it can go into another series from there if the author wants, but I'm calling BS on it, everything else was great, just don't get to the actual end.
