The beginning was a bit slow but definitely delivered overall - wonderful enjoyable listen! Excited for Harper’s next book.

Good read

As always from Ms Molly excellent blend of fantasy and romance with a little mystery mixed in. She excels at character development and has the elusive talent of not only making her characters seem alive but also as a friend. Not great literary fiction but not ment to be.

Loved the book it’s been such a while’s since I hear one of Molly Harper’s books so great! Love the cove books. Michigan finally gets some focus haha.

I am unsure how I feel about this book. I really enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to this one, but I’m unsure how I feel about it. I did enjoy it. I kinda want to know if Perry and the (umm forgot his name) English guy will get together.

Possible Spoilers:
This is a sequel story/series to Harper’s Starfall Point series that covered Shadow House & the family that wrangled ghosts and the magical objects they were attached to.
Now we’ve got the hidden Moonshadow Cove and the three Seaworth sisters who are sea witches. They also see and wrangle ghosts and are catching ghosts escaping from Shadow House. They also have a family legacy of guarding Susan the sea monster-kelpie’s egg, which now hatches.
Cora has her turn of sneaking into town and has the experience of being mowed down by Mimi the dog, and rescued by her owner, Iggy Galinsky.
He rescues her another time from getting darted & gets hauled to Moonshadow Cove to recover, then stay multiple days to protect the Seaworth Sisters. Unfortunately, this leads to exposing cracks in Iggy’s relationship with his sister Petra, then with her marriage to Jeff. Iggy finds out Josh Holt is magic-adjunct like him. Josh is acting liaison between the two covens while his sister Mina is away at college.
Perry breaks down and brings James to the Cove only to be shocked that the egg hatched and the kelpie is near to shore. They all have to help spruce up the Cove for inspection by James’ boss, which they manage to get through. But they get a bigger surprise and major conspiracy at the Red Jasper Society.
Ronconi’s voice is more loud than emotional in this book, but a little better than book 1.
Hamilton does a great job with narration.
