Publisher's summary

Action-packed from the start, Hidden Order demonstrates yet again why Brad Thor is the "master of thrillers".

A string of high-profile kidnappings has Washington, D.C., in a frenzy. When the victims begin turning up dead, frenzy turns to panic. And when the ransom demand is finally made public, panic will turn to terror. In Brad Thor's riveting new thriller, the stakes have never been higher, nor the lines between good and evil so hard to discern.

good overall but not Thor's best story

not bad but also not Thor's best work imho. maybe it's because most of the story doesnt involve Harvath's best arena: terrorism. mostly a police detective story, so its different. just not his wheelhouse.

to Cliche

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The story was predictable and thd the reader was just awful. The story lacked creativity and originality. I've watched 80's bromances with less Cliches. Won't be reading any Brad Thorn.

Would you ever listen to anything by Brad Thor again?

No.

What didn’t you like about Armand Schultz’s performance?

Sounded corny.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointing.

Less special ops thriller; more detective suspense

Still good but not what I've grown to enjoy from all of the previous Scot Harvath novels. Brad Thor definitely dipped into James Patterson's territory on this one... which isn't bad, just not what I'm looking for from Brad Thor & Scot Harvath.

Still looking for the "secret" order

Keeps you interested and moves fast but the Hidden Order is not any secret if you have ever read one newspaper. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Intents and Purposes

Drives me crazy how many times the phrase "Intents and Purposes" is used. Also the repetitive back story and over explaining situations.

YEAH!!!!! BT has done it again!!

SH finally has met a good women. Loved this book. History written this way is so much easier to hear and enjoy. BT did it again. The path of SH is so interesting. Heard the interview at RR library makes sense with the book. I hope the series hasn't ended.

Another stellar performance by Armand Schultz

Armand makes all the difference, with his narration of a Brad Thor book you get 5 stars overall. His narration always is 5 stars.

Wow! Is all I can say

This book has me on a roller coaster. Between the political evils and Scott's love life, I cannot predict the outcome with accuracy. I have ideas, but they become shattered without any warning. Can't wait to hear the next book in this series.

Different for Scot

This one was a plot more like catching a serial killer(s) vs. Scot’s normal adventures. Good book but I missed the real spec ops type action.
