About this listen

Charles Preston Carmichael is the most infuriating man I've ever met.

I want to sock the golden boy of college hockey right in the mouth. He enjoys telling me everything I'm messing up—publicly. And since he's my roommate for the next year, I can't avoid him.

Yet there's something about him that makes me watch him. Something dark. A secret I want to uncover.

When he returns from a weekend away, broken and haunted, I can't keep my distance anymore. He needs someone, and I'll be damned if it's not me.

Soon my life no longer revolves around hockey but the nightmares he's living with. Desperately, I want to save him, but I can't. Only he can save himself.

Can I watch him destroy himself as he tries to hold tight to the things that matter, or will I be the final hit in the destruction of his life?

Hidden Scars is an MM enemies-to-lovers hockey romance with a jealous f*ck buddy and plenty of heat.

Wow!!!!

I went into this book now knowing what it was about and this is my first Andi Jaxon book. All I an say is wow!!! It was excellent, but heartbreaking. I don't think I've ever felt so much for a character before. I wanted to help, talk to and hug Preston throughout. I would rate this 10 stars if I could.

The narration was EXCELLENT as I expected it to be with both Teddy Hamilton and Iggy Toma. They did not disappoint and brought a lot to the story. I can't wait to listen to the next book in this series.

A story not for the faint of heart

This story is one of my favorites. I absolutely love it. I’ve read it and was ecstatic to see it coming to audio. Teddy Hamilton is fantastic as Preston and I actually really enjoyed Iggy Toma as Jeremy.

The story probably has triggers for some but let me tell you if it is something you can handle please do not miss it. This story will hit you in all of your feels.

Rough but beautiful story ❤️

Oh man was this rough in parts. I had to skip through some because I just couldn’t handle it. HUGE TW for abuse IN DETAIL. Despite that the story was just beautiful written I couldn’t stop listening. The way Jeremy helped Preston was just incredible. I also loved the parts with Jeremy’s family (I was cackling so hard at the Christmas part I woke my bf up 😂). If you can take the rougher parts it’s just a beautiful story, beautifully written and narrated.

Honestly….

Honestly when I read the first page and realized the MLs was being extremely abused. I considered dropping the book. My heart can’t take it. But after a day. My mind was nagging at me to at least give it a chance and HONESTLY I’m glad I did.

My first hockey romance

It won’t be my last. The story was deep. Andi did well bringing it all to fruition. This is a M/M romance. There were a few aspects in the plot I didn’t see coming. That’s what makes this a good read/Listen
I’m a huge fan of Uncle Teddy Hamilton. He can bring a character to life from the dead. Iggy Toma was phenomenal. They worked well together.
Supporting characters here were crucial to the plot. All in all, this is a great story.

The hurt comfort is chefs kiss

The narration was amazing. Very graphic scenes so check trigger warnings. Hard to put down and I was constantly rooting for their happily ever after.

Realistically written

Unlike ordinary gay romance novels with predictable endings, this book was well written showing the writers IN-depth knowledge on many current
prevailing issues such as (1) abusive parenting on children that results in a a maladjusted and emotionally doi8isrupted adult, (2) Medical malpractice and acts considered acts against Medical Ethics (3) Hospital management( collusion practice to prevent reporting of a physician- provider at-risk to be named in malpractice suit (4) Anxiety of a secretly un-outed LGBT well-known sports player if the secret is known by the public

I loved the story the feeling and the emotions

The story has amazing story telling and the voices make them even better I love the mental mindset these two have and it wasn’t just pure fighting it was constructed fighting that was a dense instead of a full blown fight I absolutely loved all of this. Definitely a 5\5 read once you get past his dad anyways

Meant to be

Daddy issues/abuse to found family. Andi sort of lost me towards the end with the conclusion regarding his dad anti climactic. HEA. Preston's relationship with Jeremy's family especially Ella is so cute. I'm also excited for Paul and Brendons story

This book was 🔥!!

The author walked a fine line with the telling of this story. The characters were well developed , funny and likable inspite of the somewhat dark nature of the story. The narration was top notch and really brought the story to life.
