Publisher's summary

She shouldn't be here. She can't even recall how she got here.

Except for the dream. Mya Boyle remembers the dream. She knows it's somehow connected to her past, her present and the future.

Mya woke one morning in a field, a stag grazing close by as if it didn't even notice her. She lay bare, like a babe from the womb, except for a wool blanket wrapped around her tightly.

A grown woman with no memory, no family, no money, nothing. Kayden McGregor found her while hunting. He was after the stag and nearly shot her with his arrow instead. Unable to leave her to the wolves of his clan, he took her to his home.

He resents her. She can't bear to look at him. Or stop herself from staring when he doesn't notice. Trapped, and yet somehow destined to be together.

Remember enough of the past...and you may be able to control your future.

Keep going..

I agree with all other reviewers the narrative is not so good Scottish accent is horrible. Lots an lots of sex. I had to fast forward through them just to get to the story. Now I'm down for sex scene however I don't believe it should over power the story. It is an excellent story though. I was confused on the whole time travel part I don't thing that's explained well? The ending was a little shocking an the next book has no reviews but I'm going for it bad narrative an all!...

Highlander's bride

This book was entertaining and romantic. It was about a woman who was found in the woods nude and with no memory of her past.

A different kind of time travel

This book is different than other time travel books but that is what I liked about it. I agree with other reviewers about the narrators when they say that her Scottish accent was not the best, it sounded more like a virginia/north Dakota mix. I think that she did a great job for the female role her accent was perfect if they would have made a two person narration it would have been better.
I also think that 5 books was too many and could have been fewer.

My complaints are minimal and to be honest didn't affect my enjoyment in this book. I would suggest it to anyone who enjoys time travel romance books.

Great start

Good start to a series lots of mystery introduced. narration could be better on the males voice.

Scots or Norse?

Predictable and annoying. There's no spark or chemistry here and it's very hard to take a serious listen when the "hero" of the story sounds like a Viking rather than a Scot. I see no way to save this one!!!

If you cannot do accents, don't.

Not everyone can do accents and this narrator is horrible at them. I don't know if the main male character is Scottish, Swedish, or Jamaican. And its VERY distracting.

Horrible Narration

I feel like I might have been able to finish the book if it weren’t for the terrible “Scottish” accent. It was really anything but close to sounding Scottish.
After reading the other summaries of the rest of the series, it sounds like an interesting take on lovers finding each other through the ages. However, I would recommend reading the book(s) and not listening.

Great story, horrible narration

I originally read this title some time ago and loved it. I was so excited to find it on Audible. The story is still great but the narration was like a cross between a drunken polka party and the Swedish chef from the Muppets. It was the saddest attempt at Scottish accent that I’ve ever heard. I couldn’t finish it. It was too painful. I guess I can reread it... again.

If you can't do an accent-

Don't do the accent!! Interesting take on time travel romance, part of a longer story, told in snippets of time. A little hard to follow. Mostly hot sex.

Narrator should not try Scottish accent

While she has a nice voice she should not attempt accents. Her attempt sounded like a Swede one moment to become a cowboy the next and sometimes totally forgetting about an accent. The storyline was good but I didn’t think I could listen to a sequel if the narrator stays the same.
