Well worth the wait.
What a wonderful start for anew series. The story was a surprise. Tha main characters are interesting and strong. As I am a long time fan of the Darkhunter story line. The most annoying thing about this book was the female name and brother name. Everytime Tannis is mentioned I think of Urain's sister and his best friend. Not a dragon. Besides that I loved it. Can't wait for the next book.

Great story!
This was another great Sherrilyn Kenyon book! I love her writing style. Her books have that feel good, wholesome love but also has some spice and characters that aren’t shy to be rough when necessary. This book brings in a lot of magical creatures, royal foes and allies, interesting magic, and quests that intertwine. Fred Berman does a great job as always voicing the different characters. This book can stand alone but leaves room to have other backstories or future stories of some of the characters as this author likes to do. Anyway, I recommend!

I really like all her books but this one is a bit different than the others, and I still like it. I do like how it all came together.
