Story
In Joel's Schwartzberg's 10-plus years as a strategic communications trainer, the biggest obstacle he's come across - one that connects directly to nervousness, stammering, rambling, and epic fail - is that most speakers and writers don't have a point. They typically have just a title, a theme, a topic, an idea, an assertion, a catchphrase, or even something much less. This book shows you how to identify your point, leverage it, stick to it, and sell it and how to train others to identify and successfully make their own points.

They actually have vastly different styles and backgrounds. Yet despite their differences, great managers share one common trait: They don’t hesitate to break virtually every rule held sacred by conventional wisdom. They don’t believe that, with enough training, a person can achieve anything he sets his mind to. They don’t try to help people overcome their weaknesses. And, yes, they even play favorites. In this longtime management bestseller, Gallup presents the remarkable findings of its massive in-depth study of great managers.

Story
People are the problem. They're always the problem. If a business person goes home frustrated, if they talk with their significant other about it, if they lay awake at night stewing about it, inevitably the problem is some person at work - a colleague, subordinate, or boss. Handling people issues is every leader's major headache. It's what takes up the majority of their time and - more important - the bulk of their head space. Every leader can and must develop this most important of all management skills.

Story
Conventional interviewing advice doesn’t work. That’s what Anna Papalia learned through years of experience as an HR professional, consultant for Fortune 500 companies, and teacher at the Fox School of Business. None of the existing tools work for one simple reason: they don’t get to the heart of what actually makes a great interview—self-awareness. At its core, an interview is a set of questions about you. If you don’t know yourself, you won’t do well.

SUPER-Helpful
Not only is the information provided super-help (I'll tell you why in a minute), but it's professionally narrated, and she shares the information in a story-like narrative that makes it much more understandable. You get the questions and the answers, but what adds so much value is that Peggy McKee explains the reasoning behind the best way to answer these additional 101 tough questions. She explains the interview strategy for each question. Peggy takes you inside the mind of the interviewer, so you know what they are thinking or trying to discover through that question. She helps you stay in the game.
One of the things you learn from Peggy is that many questions are intended to eliminate people, and she explains how to avoid that. Plus, she helps you use the question as an opportunity to advance up the list of most-preferred candidates. It takes effort to prepare yourself for an interview. Don't use an actual interview as your practice field! Let Peggy provide you with the answers. Get both Part 1 & 2 (they're super affordable). Review them two or three time each, and practice saying the answers. If you do, you'll be so much more confident. You'll be amazing - and you know the old saying: "When opportunity meets preparedness, you get lucky!"

thank you Peggy
I really appreciate the interview questions 101 series as well as how to Ace your phone interview and how to network.in fact, these are literally the only interview books that I read. I don't really like to purchase the 8-minute books that she sells. but these three books as well as the networking book are at least 50 minutes to 4 hours. Scott Miller has a great voice and I actually laughed out loud several times. I received quite a few phone interviews, and all of them followed up with in-person interviews and I received several offers after listening to her books. as another person said, it turns out I actually do have the answers they are looking for and it makes me feel confident and competent. thank you Peggy. I start my new position with a Fortune 500 company later this month.
