Informative, helpful book.

Unlike some other reviewers I did not have any problems with listening to the reader. I found the content relative, detailed, and helpful in planning for my own move to homesteading. The ideas are useful, varied, and easily adaptable to skill sets and products not listed specifically in the book, although the ideas given are an excellent springboard for brainstorming. I plan on purchasing a paper copy to keep as a reference.

A good primer

A little slow in parts. a good primer for further research. If you are already on the land then maybe this is not for you. Otherwise the books gives a nice detailed and honest outlay of what can be done with a small homestead and the diversity and fun that can come from it.

Good but wanted more

The stories flowed well. I felt like I needed and wanted more details. Maybe some more about business planning? Not sure what I expected. This book is good encouragement, I guess but certainly not a "how-to".

Very Helpful

As a relatively new home steader getting organized and figuring out how to go about everything from Animals, to making product to sell and living life more simply.
this book adds answers and tips to help along the way. as a newly homestead owner this is a difficult but very worth while adventure and a new way of living, my husband still works in the City, but our 2 to 5 year plan is to let our 5 acres be our retirement. Fingers crossed and soil to fertilize away we go. Huge Hugs to the Author ❤️

Good book, Terrible narrator

The book itself was very good- full of real life success stories of homesteaders who are making a living doing what they love. Also had practical advice, checklists, things to consider, and referred to other resources like blogs, books, and websites.

The author had a good sense of humor, but it fell completely flat with the narrator. I almost thought it was a computer-generated voice at times, and reminds me of a lot of the other flat voiced narrators that I am seeing in DIY books.

Overall, if you don't mind computer-generated voices, and you are looking for a pretty comprehensive book to inspire you to pursue your dreams, I would recommend this book!
