What is the meantime? According to author and inspirational speaker Iyanla Vanzant, being in the "meantime" means being in a state of limbo. Rather than wallow in confusion, Vanzant encourages you to use the meantime to prepare yourself for true love. The first order of business is to clean house. Room by room, Vanzant takes you through a metaphorical cleaning of the soul. This way, when love finally comes knocking on the front door, you'll have a clean house to welcome it into.

Full of illuminating stories and practical exercises, Debbie Ford shows us how to reconcile our darker impulses and find the gifts they offer.

Yet so many questions come up to complicate this natural response. In this practical helper's companion, the authors explore a path through these confusions and provide support and inspiration for us in our efforts as members of the helping professions, as volunteers, as community activists, or simply as friends and family trying to meet each other's needs.

Debbie Ford explains that the dark side of our personality should not be hidden. By denying our dark side, we reject aspects of our true natures rather than giving ourselves the freedom to live authentically. Full of illuminating stories and practical exercises, Debbie Ford shows us how to reconcile our darker impulses and find the gifts they offer.

Relatable Layers
When my intuition told me to search "How To Open Your Heart," the results were a mix of fiction and how-to books. I didn't read any summeries, only went by my feels. Even though I had a strong pull towards this book (I thought it might be because the title was an exact match for what I'd been led to search for), I was expecting a kind of 'how-to' approach and figured it would just be something I started without finishing, only taking general tips with me.
This was such a beautiful surprise! Very authentically written and narrated (Audible version), I got so much more than I had expected. There was even a moment I cried uncontrollably due to a synchronicity that had to do with a video I'd done a few weeks prior to finding this book, which was about learning to open my heart. I titled the video "The Key To Everything." This book tells a beautiful truth of growth through continually opening to your soul in many different ways, of course! It helps you to not only find your key, but to use it to unlock your best life! I absolutely love this book, especially because it came from a masculine perspective. I'll definitely listen to it again and recommend!

I've never actually written a review on anything in my life, but this has moved me to do so, especially since reading his first book a couple of years ago and relating to such a transformative experience in a similar but different context. this is a deep, experiential story of honesty with ones self that I deeply needed to be reminded of!
