I have also been OK giving public speeches. Having had worked in corporate for 20+ years and given over 100's of presentations in small settings like leadership meetings with 5-10 to annual conferences where there are 300+ people I have a lot of experience getting in front of an audience - BUT I am always looking for new ways to be more engaging in my deliver and more confident in my tone. This book was amazing with so many helpful tips I can start using immediately. So whether you are a seasoned public speaker like myself, or new to the game - this book can show you how to WOW your audience.

I had a light-bulb moment!
This is a very nice book. I especially liked the chapter about giving the audience what they want. I found the information there very useful and practical, and I plan to use the tips mentioned there the next time I need to do a presentation. I was surprised to hear the concept of “voluntariness” and how sometimes audiences don’t have a choice in deciding to listen to a talk or presentation. I never thought of that, now I see that I assumed that everyone wanted (or needed) to hear my talk. It was a wakeup call and from now on I will be more aware of that important detail when preparing to talk in public. Also, the information about the different types of audiences was very nice. After listening to this audiobook I see that it wasn't a lack of preparation in knowing the material that I was presenting that caused me to be nervous when talking to audiences, but it was not spending enough time to get to know my audience and adapting my message to make it more appealing to them. I highly recommend this book because the information is very practical.

Very useful book
It's everyone's worst nightmare, having to get up in front of a crowd to make a speech. So we don't do it if we can avoid it. But if you have control of a room, it's a fabulous feeling. Ask any comedian. This book breaks the steps and the anxieties down so that you can overcome your fears and get up there and nail it. Thoroughly recommend.

Mastering Public Speaking for Confidence
This book is a handy guide that's like your personal coach for conquering the fear of public speaking. It's a practical treasure chest of public speaking skills that anyone can use.
One thing I really liked is how it starts with finding your "why" – your purpose for speaking. It gives you a solid foundation to build your confidence. Plus, it's full of strategies to tackle those public speaking jitters, even if you've gone blank in the middle of a presentation (we've all been there).
The book doesn't just tell you what to do, it shows you how to reframe those negative thoughts into positive ones using cognitive-behavioral therapy. It's all about practicality.
And if you've ever wondered how to keep your audience engaged, it dives into the power of storytelling and tailoring your speech to your audience's needs.

Great Tips For Public Speaking
When I was younger, I was terrified of public speaking. Over the years, the fear has become less crippling, but it is still uncomfortable. Moreover, I never feel confident. Carl Wolfe's book has been helpful. The wedding speech story really connected with me since something almost identical happened to me. I loved his sections on analyzing the audience and formulas of a great story. I have a very analytical mind. Those chapters helped break down public speaking into pieces I can work through. This book is great, not just for the fearful like me, but for anyone who wants to be a better speaker.
