Resumen del Editor

Stop not doing what you know you should do!

You might think laziness, lack of willpower, and/or low motivation are to blame for the fact that you aren't achieving your goals. But fascinating research in the field of psychoneuroimmunology has revealed another, far more likely possibility. One with the potential to transform your life in a dramatic way.

The typical excuses for not doing what you know you should - I'm too stressed out... I don't have the time... I don't have the energy, etc. - are, in fact, manifestations of a complex, interconnected web of psychological, chemical, and neurological factors.

When activated, these factors can effectively paralyze you - making it virtually impossible for you to take the actions needed to create change in your life.

In other words, even if you're highly motivated...if you've got these internal circumstances operating, you aren't going to be able to do it.

But while the biochemistry may be complex, the solutions are actually quite simple.

Dr. Nick Hall reveals these solutions - and the fascinating science behind them - in I Know What to Do, So Why Don't I Do It? You'll learn:

  • An extraordinarily powerful stress-fighting tool that very few people take advantage of.
  • An easy way to instantly regain control and stay focused in an emotional emergency.
  • Six things to do when you think you've taken on more than you can accomplish in the time you have.
  • The mistake almost everyone makes when they organize their to-do list.
  • A simple exercise that can instantly tell you which side of your brain is dominant at any given time.
  • The first-thing-in-the-morning action that will literally reset your internal clock and have a profoundly positive impact on your energy level for the rest of the day (and it is SO easy to do!).

good contents, poor audio quality

The information was great, but the mix of conference in studio recording made the listening experience inconsistent. If the conference recordings were made correctly with good equipment etc. it might have been a better experience, but the conference audio quality is mediocre to poor. for the price of this audiobook I think overall it's a questionable value.

Good, but.....

There is a wealth of information in this audio book, but the presentation of the material and overall production are lacking. It was worth the one credit, but I wouldn't spend actually money to purchase this. But there really is a wealth of practical, useful and valuable information that I found very helpful in understanding why I don't do the things I know I should do.

Big breakthroughs! Most helpful insights I found

loved it, loads of incredible insights, entertaining listen. Some may find profs voice something to get used to for a bit but it's a non issue. Highly recommended.

Good Book

This book covers the biological reaction to a particular situation in the human body. Goes on the describe the biological reasoning for us feel particular way. How stress can harm the body. Habits of successful people. But does not recommended any exercise to develop better human qualities. Overall good book but pricey. I bought it using my monthly credit. I feel it's a very scientific book and can be helpful.

Too medical at some points, poor audio quality.

A bit too medical at some stages and audio quality was poor in some chapters as it is a lecture recording

Not what I expected

Non-traditional format; recordings of presentations. Highly informative, relatable content. Good for a listen while commuting.

Author believable

Good stories and good variety of presentations, including a good Q&A interview in last chapter..like the science behind everything...but explained easily

Great book with more information than expected

It gave a different take on why we don't get things done, that I've never heard before, in a studied scientific way that was complicated but very understandable, so as to change how we can do more of what we put off doing. Thx

Essential life knowledge

These hours of listening contain so much essential information on understanding why you lack progress, and what to do about it. The audio quality is not always the best, but the contents is. Nick Hall's dry, understated humor combined with immense knowledge, makes this audio book very, very interesting.
