Publisher's summary

It started out as an ordinary day for Esther Comely-Cox, if you consider simultaneously totaling your car, smashing a Ho Ho in your face, and meeting a handsome doctor ordinary.

Estranged from her family over her sister's mental illness and death, Esther can't help but feel alone. And when Esther hears the voice of her twin sister who committed suicide seven years ago, she begins to question her own sanity, leading her to wonder if anything is what it seems. Searching for answers, Esther must confront her past while looking towards a new future; one in which she is finally accepted.

Through humor and heartbreak, Esther learns that blood does not mean family, that absence does not make the heart grow fonder, and that silence can speak volumes.

‘I’m Still Here’ is a very mind stimulating book

Kathryn R Biel did an excellent job at writing a story about a woman (Esther) dealing with her sister’s mental illness and dysfunctional family. There is great humor, love and of coarse dysfunction. In the book. Her character developers from a girl that doesn’t think much of herself, into a woman that realizes she is worthy of love. She is a very funny character, poking fun at herself and her incoordination. It has a few steamy scenes I feel are “G” rated

The narrator “Lisa Beacon” does an excellent job at bringing her character to life. She makes you feel al the character’s personality, especially Esther.

This book would be good for older teens to adult age people.

The interesting characters and the narration.

I am reading "Hold Her Down" right now. The narration is excellent.

Some really funny moments.

I didn't care for the strong language throughout and I guessed what would happen fairly accurately but overall it was a good book.

Excellent!

If you could sum up I'm Still Here in three words, what would they be?

Held my interest.

What was one of the most memorable moments of I'm Still Here?

When Esther is sitting on the cold concrete wondering why OK didn't text her back, and Rob pulls up.

Which character – as performed by Lisa Beacom – was your favorite?

OK

Any additional comments?

This had a very interesting plot and the author did an excellent job of portraying the characters in depth. I felt like I knew them by the end of the book. The narrator brought all of the characters to life and did several accents very well. Highly recommended!

what a story

OK took his hippocratic oath to heart and even lived it as evidenced when he spent half his time rescuing Ester and all her baggage. Good looking, dependable , integrity, and a good heart. He took a licking and still came back ticking like the Timex watch slogan. Ester pushed him away and he still fought for her and her rights against her supposed family. The parents (loosely used word) are so unlikable and mean ; they disgusted me. I do blame her sister for skulking about and stalking her. It led to many huge problems. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Good Story and Awesome narrator.

This narrator and character became one in the same. This was a sad story in many ways but with a feel good ending. Enjoy!
