What's Happening Here?

The overall story had a good premise but there's so much filler that after 4 hours I started skipping chapters. There is absolutely NO MOVEMENT. I began to get angry at Tomaso's character because instead of standing up for himself or even trying to move forward or get help or tell his family of the abuse he just sits in his misery. I cannot stand a storyline where one simple conversation would solve A LOT. At this point in time his character comes across as almost cowardly. Come on Sarina I know you can do better. Again premise was good, narrators a favorite.

Loved it

I had a hard time putting this one down! I really hope we get another book in this world... I am fairly certain the coach and the new goalie probably have something going on... at least I hope lol

Charming and funny hockey romance

I've listened to many of this author's hockey romances, and this is one of my favorites. The characters are charming -- interior designer Carter is very likeable and grumpy hockey player Tommaso turns out to be a not-so-grumpy guy with a sweet side. It was a bit of a slow-burn at times, but I thought it was well-worth the wait. I also found the book to be quite funny, laughing out loud at times. Unsurprisingly, Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan do a wonderful job bringing these guys to life. This pair of narrators works so well together and have each other's voices down to a T. It's well-written and beautifully performed.

I always enjoy Sarina's hockey players. I hope Hale's story (or maybe the surprise character?!?) is next. Teddy and Jacob are amazing as always!

Beautifully written and told

A wonderful story of self discovery, chance and love. Touching, painful, and relatable. The characters feel both real and their story development is solid. Loved listening to this and will definitely listen to more.

Good fantasy!

Life like characters a gay man can identify with makes the story interesting and easy to listen to.

Sarina love you!! I have literally read/listened to all your series. I love your detail and you write the best heart felt spice, I mean HIM and US I literally cried. I was surprised this one missed the mark, just when the spice was ramping up, the scene ended, my jaw hit the floor. Love all the hockey guys ( still hoping for a WAGS comeback). Looking forward to your next

I Llove hickey romances and this one was fabulous! The characters are wonderful and so easy to fall in love with! Highly recommend!

Beautiful story!

I am a huge fan of Sarina Bowen and this book was another in a long line of 5 star listens from her. This book centers on the budding relationship between a journeyman hockey pro who is struggling with his bisexuality and the interior decorator who is totally secure in his sexuality, but struggling with his business and financial security. I appreciate how Sarina Bowen addresses the delicate situation and complicated feelings of a professional athlete coming to terms with his sexuality with extended family members who were cruelly homophobic.

Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan are an incredible pairing and bring such heart and emotion to everything they do. I couldn't imagine this with anyone else. Bravo as always.
