Thrilling Joy RIde! Great Listen!

Immortal Fear is a who-done-it set in the world of cutting edge medical technology, where even death is not the last word. Dr. Powers is a young doctor and an anesthesiologist who gets caught up in a web of murder and deceit. Author MD H.S. Clark knows his stuff and doesn't let the science overwhelm the story. Nice narration by Ernie Sprance, who also narrated Secret Thoughts, H.S. Clark's other thriller in the Dr. Powers' Mystery Series. Immortal Fear has lots of over the top action by Dr. Powers, and daring skin of the teeth escapes. This thriller explores the rapidly shrinking boundary between life and death. I found it to be provocative, exciting, and enjoyable.

Great Medical Thriller! Fast Paced and Exciting!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I loved Dr. H.S. Clark's writing style. I was swept up by the story and the characters. The protagonist, Dr. Powers, is part James Bond and part Jason Bourne, but with plenty of flaws that make Dr. Powers very human. This book gave me a scary peek at where medical science is headed. The excellent narration by Ernie Sprance made for an easy to listen to and engaging thriller adventure. Highly recommended for all mystery and thriller lovers.

Fascinating mixture of plausibility and fantasy

Extremely interesting and captivating medical thriller, nicely narrated by Ernie Sprance. Exactly the right mixture of accurate medical information and fantasy that make a medical thriller plausible, unpredictable and fascinating at the same time. I impatiently waited for every opportunity to listen a few more minutes to the audiobook. Highly recommended.

Exciting Medical Thriller

Any additional comments?

Immortal Fear is a chilling who-done-it based on cutting-edge medical science. I’m a genetic research assistant, and Dr. Clark’s fictional genetically modified (GMO) apocalypse is frightening and very possible with current technology. I loved the characters and the many unexpected twists and turns. This is a modern Frankenstein meets CSI and police procedural. It’s complete with gargoyles, mad scientists, and a nationwide chase after disembodied organs. The narrator did a great job, and I couldn’t stop listening. Immortal Fear is an entertaining mystery thriller with an important moral lesson wrapped inside.
