About this listen

He's meant to protect her, but what is this cowboy keeping from her about the danger she's facing?

As the daughter of a presidential candidate, Cassidy Hamilton left the Montana family ranch to escape notoriety and live her own life. But when someone tries to abduct her off a Houston sidewalk, Cassidy finds protection in the tall, dark, and sexy form of cowboy Jack Durand. The gorgeous Texan doesn't recognize her, wants nothing from her, and is determined to keep her safe.

Jack hates keeping secrets from the beautiful Cassidy, but he knows more about her kidnapping attempt than he's admitting. Forced on the run, Jack and Cassidy begin piecing together a jagged family puzzle, exposing a plot years in the making - one that will either tear them apart or bring them closer together than ever.

Into Dust

The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters to life. I really hope he is used for all future audio-books by this author.

The story-line was interesting and had a surprising twist for Jack and Cassidy. I really hope it is resolved in the last book because it felt as though they were horribly cheated.

One thing that bothered me is that Cassidy didn't think it was important to warn her sisters about a possible danger. Another thing that struck me as odd was that neither Jack nor Cassidy called the Sheriff immediately upon their arrival in Montana or after the incident in Montana.

I did enjoy the continuing saga of Sheriff Frank Curry. He was my favorite character in the Beartooth, Montana series so I am pleased he is in this series as well. I really enjoyed the surprise that the crows had for Nettie. These two really need to setup their own detective agency and get their own series because they are wonderful.

The best so far...

The narrator is still wonderful. This has been the most intriguing book of the series so far. Many twists and turns that it keeps one on their feet. I have been hooked on it since the very first sentence.

con

I gave this book a three only because at times it got a little confusing. At times I didn't know if it was the mom or the daughter they were talking about.

Should have been called something else

Kept looking for a good cowboy story not a bunch of radical nutcases. Dragged on and on. Didn't even make it through
to the last book.
