Narration was excellent. Loved the book, especially since she mentions Jamie, Claire and Ian Murray. Recommend this book highly!

Its a great book.

It is a great book. Sara Donati takes the time to tell the history of the Native Americans. People looking for something similar to Outlander will turn to this book, but I think they are completely different. This is somewhat of a love story but nothing like Outlander. They don't have the same passion as Jamie and Claire. I just never felt that strong connection between Elizabeth and Nathaniel. It might be because they fall in love and get married in less than month's time. The only similarities between this book and Outlander is both books give us a history lesson. I love the narrator, Kate Reading, especially in the Lady Sherlock Holmes series. But I really didn't care for her in this one. She makes Elizabeth sound a little bit cold and snotty, and her voice for Nathaniel is a kind of girly. However, she can change her accents from English to Scottish to Southern pretty good. I do recommend to very much.

I read this series a couple years ago and loved it! Kate Reading is an exceptional story teller. This audible version is fantastic.

Mohawk heritage

i enjoyed the story and especially learning about the Mohawk nation and their struggle to stay alive and in tact among the "entitled" Europeans.

Slow listen,

This story was too long, which normally I would never say. I love long books 20 hours 30 hours… The narrator has a very soothing voice, which makes you want to fall asleep and with this kind of a story it doesn’t keep you quite as excited waiting for the next moment!

I did like how this author had her descriptions, it was very well written in terms of being able to visualize what was going on with wonderful metaphors and similes.
All that being said, it was a challenge for me to finish this book because the story was not that interesting, and it was told that a very slow pace.

Loved the book, story, narrator...all of it. Cant not read one more chapter.
Have purchase the second book of series.

This is a book to love over & over again

If you loved 'Last of the Mohicans', this story will draw you in. It's beautifully written and superbly narrated.
