Publisher's summary

It's not easy being best friends with a celebrity...I'm invisible at my high school and I'm fine with it. It's kind of inevitable with a name like Jane Smith. But when the school newspaper staff insisted that I write a cover story, I decided to find out just how much scandal one geeky girl could uncover.

Except I never expected to find myself starting a fist-fight, auditioning for the school's Romeo & Juliet musical, running away with a Romeo of my own, befriending the most popular girl in school, or trying to avoid one very cute photographer, who makes it impossible to to be invisible.

Editorial reviews

Flying under the radar comes easily when your name is Jane Smith, and that used to be just fine by Jane. Now that her best friend is a celebrity, though, Jane's lonely being invisible. Fortunately, her life's about to change; she's writing a scandalous article for the school newspaper! Cassandra Morris has one of the best-young adult voices in the industry. She gets Jane's sweet, mousey tone spot-on with a cadence that makes for easy listening. When Morris lends her powerful talent to Jane's internal monologue, this high school reporter is anything but invisible.

A little more in depth than the first

This one had a sadder feel than the first but I think a little more believable though some really unbelievable situations happen that I just rolled my eyes at. Narrator continues to do a good job.
