Love will find a way

Noah and Lily are so naive when it comes to love. They are each afraid the other isn't feeling what they're feeling, and isn't that normal for new(ish) love? It's just so sweet how they come to the realization the their feelings are reciprocated and how much being involved with each other could ruin something that Noah has been working for all of his life.

I found it interesting that the characters began to delve into the reasoning behind why they were truly fighting the affection they felt for each other and that it was much more deep-seated than they realized.

This is one of those stories I carried with me while I exercised in the evenings, so I got to listen to pieces of it at a time. I found myself looking forward to the next excerpt I'd get to listen to after I arrived home each evening. It had me looking forward to the next book.

Giving the senior Mongomerys fake southern accents ruined this story

This story picks up with the next generation of Montgomery's. In all the previous books there was never the trace of a southern accent. Infact the Company has locations in the NE and West Coast. Out of the blue in this book William and Monica have southern accents. why? it creates a disconnect. Additionally the narrator as sounds very nasal by times, especially when narrating the male point of view. please don't use this narrator for anymore books in this series.
The plot is okay, but the narrator makes it less credible

Smoldering Small Town Second Chance

*Irresistible Love* by Samantha Chase is the first book in the Wylder Brothers series and follows the oldest brother, Noah, and his second-chance romance with Lily Montgomery. Lily is a young dancer facing a potentially career-ending injury, trying to figure out her next steps in the dance world. Returning home, she discovers her family has been sent on various holidays by her grandfather, who is busy tying up some of his own secrets. Lily then runs into Noah, who works for her grandfather and alongside her dad and uncles. They rekindle a brief romance from a New Year’s party years ago and explore what a relationship might be like without familial pressures.

I will be honest, Lily wasn’t the easiest heroine to get behind. She is young and has a lot of growing and maturing to do, and her occasional tantrums made it difficult to root for her at times. However, her journey is realistic and relatable, especially given the challenges she faces. With time and maturity, I’m sure she will continue to grow as a character.

Despite this, the chemistry between Noah and Lily is palpable, and their story is heartfelt and engaging. The book explores themes of family, love, and personal growth, making it a worthwhile read. Fans of second-chance romance will find much to enjoy in *Irresistible Love*.
