Publisher's summary

Harry's life goal was to get into the SAS. When we meet him in 1981 he is in the process of achieving his dream. No sooner has he lived one dream than he bumps into another, Sarah, the love of his life. What could go wrong? Well, quite a lot. For example, an idiot Latin American dictator might invade the Falkland Islands within months of Harry earning the right to wear the legendary winged dagger cap badge.

Something missing .....

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Overall, it was a good book and performance...but what was missing to make it great? A deeper character development? A better description of the evolution of the main character? It says "The First Harry Waters Series Book 1"--so maybe my sense of DANGLING is expected to be resolved in Book 2? But of course, I would have to read book 2---and at this point, I am not sure I will....so....

Would you be willing to try another book from James Philip? Why or why not?

No

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Narrator was fine.

Was Islands of No Return worth the listening time?

Book was okay but it felt incomplete. If a writer is going to leave a book dangling just so audience will purchase the next in a series, I am not a customer.
