Jonah
About this listen
This is a full, unabridged, uninterrupted version of The Book of Jonah, read by best-selling faith-based narrator, Steve Cook. It contains no commentary or other human adornment; only the pure, living Word of God, profitable for teaching, convicting, correcting, and instructing in righteousness. The reading is taken from the Revised Geneva Translation of the Holy Bible.
The RGT was borne of a need to memorize and speak Scripture out loud with specific meanings and inflections. It is a 21stc-entury update of the very first widely distributed version of the Holy Bible in English, The Geneva Bible (Shakespeare's favorite Bible translation).
Just as in all preceding centuries, Biblical text in the 1500s was meant to be heard and seen as much as read, because so many of those who received it were illiterate (especially Gentiles) and needed to memorize it and speak it back to each other often in order to facilitate meditation and activation. The RGT was created with that in mind. It is specifically designed to be spoken and heard, repeatedly and is built on the premise that a crucial key to revival in the present can be found in one simple practice from the past: speaking God's word back to each other in community.
"It is our hope that this project will be a living and active Bible for this generation, built for hearing and doing." (Matthew7:24).
"[T]hat your faith might not be in the wisdom of man, but in the power of God." (1Corinthians 2:5)

Story
The bundle covers the stories of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob with a bonus book on Lot, Abraham's nephew. The Bible tells us that Abraham was God's friend and he was chosen to head up all of God's people, including us in the Church today. They were not a perfect family, indeed, these stories will raise your eyebrows at times, they are so dysfunctional. The story of Abraham is a journey through life. It is a journey all of us are called to make.

Details are revealed about the "Sons of God, (angels), that left their positions in heaven to marry human women", having children that became giants and monsters called Nephilim who introduced violence, sorcery, and evil spirits into the world. Story
The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ provides an almost complete record of the words and works of Jesus Christ, including those years about which the New Testament Gospels are silent. It begins with Jesus's birth in Bethlehem and goes on to describe his 18 years of study in the East, his ascension from the Mount of Olives, and his travels to the monasteries of Tibet and the temples of Egypt, India, Persia, and Greece. Levi spent over 40 years preparing this document in order to tell the story of a much more complex Jesus than previously known.

Story
David Bentley Hart undertook this new translation of the New Testament in the spirit of "etsi doctrina non daretur", "as if doctrine is not given". Reproducing the texts' often fragmentary formulations without augmentation or correction, he has produced a pitilessly literal translation, one that captures the texts' impenetrability and unfinished quality while awakening listeners to an uncanniness that often lies hidden beneath doctrinal layers.

Story
The Book of Jubilees, also known as The Little Genesis and The Apocalypse of Moses, opens with an extraordinary claim of authorship. It is attributed to the very hand of Moses; penned while he was on Mount Sinai, as an angel of God dictated to him regarding those events that transpired from the beginning of the world. The story is written from the viewpoint of the angel. The angelic monologue takes place after the exodus of the children of Israel out of Egypt. The setting is atop Mount Sinai, where Moses was summoned by God. The text then unfolds as the angel reveals heaven's viewpoint of history.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
The book of Enoch was thought to be lost for over 2,000 years until, in 1773, a traveller brought three copies back from Ethiopia. Whether or not this ancient book was actually authored by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognise the book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible.

Story
Just before Christmas in 1843, a debt-ridden and dispirited Charles Dickens wrote a small book he hoped would keep his creditors at bay. His publisher turned it down, so Dickens used what little money he had to put out A Christmas Carol himself. He worried it might be the end of his career as a novelist. The book immediately caused a sensation. And it breathed new life into a holiday that had fallen into disfavor, undermined by lingering Puritanism and the cold modernity of the Industrial Revolution.

Story
The Qur'an, believed by Muslims to be the word of God, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad 1,400 years ago. It is the supreme authority in Islam and the living source of all Islamic teaching; it is a sacred text and a book of guidance that sets out the creed, rituals, ethics, and laws of the Islamic religion. It has been one of the most influential books in the history of literature. Recognized as the greatest literary masterpiece in Arabic, it has nevertheless remained difficult to understand in its English translations.
