In the small town of Castle Rock, the setting of many of King’s most iconic stories, Scott is engaged in a low-grade - but escalating - battle with the lesbians next door whose dog regularly drops his business on Scott’s lawn. One of the women is friendly; the other, cold as ice.

Excellent story. Excellent narration.
I love Stephen King's horror and supernatural tales but I always find the stories that have just a smidgen of supernatural to be far more enjoyable. This beautiful narration is my new favorite Stephen King audiobook.

Wow! Loved this story
The story is a fun classic ghost story with wonderful characters and quite a bit of sorrow. You really feel like you’re at the amusement park and want to know even more about how these characters’ lives were before and after. I haven’t been spooked by a book in awhile and this gave me the chills a few times! Lovely writing.

Superb storytelling
My grandmother was a storyteller and she could take life’s mundane events and weave them into a rich, multi-layered adventure. This coming of age story reminded me so much of her and the joy of storytelling. The performance is pitch perfect and a joy to listen to. I can’t believe I almost passed on this book. I laughed and cried. Loved it. Thanks for helping me remember that simple joy.
