Publisher's summary

Every night you receive messages from the deepest recesses of your subconscious mind: you dream. But often these messages are cloaked in mysterious symbols and imagery. Only by learning to understand and interpret them can you take full advantage of the knowledge and power hidden within your dreams. This classic work of dream interpretation takes you through the classic Jungian approach to dreaming philosophy and psychology. It includes a simple, clear explanation of the basic concepts of Jungian psychology, the building blocks for his understanding of dreams, a six-step method to interpreting your dreams, and key elements of Jungian dream interpretation, including archetypes, complexes, and the collective unconscious.

A good intro to Jung

Jung's model of the psyche in a nutshell. Tha author does a good job at explaining the key concepts of analytical psychology and gives a short step by step account of how to go abaout making sense of your mind's night time creations.

Review

Excellent introduction for anyone wanting to learn about Jungian dream interpretation. Once in a while I listen the audio file again, and everytime I understand some new meaning.

Simple but good

Although this is a basic introduction to Jung and dream interpretation, it is brief and well done and will give you a basic understanding of Jungian interpretation that is an excellent foundation for dreamwork that is true to yourself.

A decent aid to Jungian study

The speaker is obviously well informed, but I find this presentation lacking. It is, however, very unrealistic to expect to be an expert in dream analysis in just an hour. More could have been said, and more could have been expanded upon, especially given examples. If one has been studying Jung and dream analysis for a few months with some consistancy, it is unlikely that much will be extracted from this presentation. It is a good review though, and I must admit that a few things he said helped me to better grasp Jungian theory. I advise anyone who is looking for Jungian material to give this a chance, each experience will be different. This file is inexpensive and short, so there really isn't anything to lose.

Brief intro

This is a brief, somewhat dry intro to Jungian Dream analysis. The book it is adapted from is one of the very best I have ever studied on the topic. The last section of this audible book is the very best.

Not enough information or examples

Inner Work by Robert A Johnson is much better, even though it is 8 hours / 220 pages. It also has much better narration.

Save your money

My advice is to save your money on this one. What I got out of it was more of how Freud and Jung differ on their dream theories than on actual dream interpretation. The help this title promises in helping you remember your dreams is literally...put a notebook and pen by your bed and record your dreams.
