Publisher's summary

It's Elvis Week in Memphis, and homicide detective Rachel Sloan isn't sure her day could get any stranger when aging Elvis impersonator Vic Vegas asks to see her. But when he produces a photo of her murdered mother with four Elvis impersonators - one of whom had also been murdered soon after the photo was taken - she's forced to reevaluate.

Is there some connection between the two unsolved cases? And could the recent break-in at Vic's home be tied to his obsession with finding his friend's killer? When yet another person in the photo is murdered, Rachel suddenly has her hands full investigating three cases.

Lieutenant Boone Callahan offers his help, but their checkered romantic past threatens to get in the way. Can they solve the cases before the murderer makes Rachel victim number four?

Great!

Who would have thought Elvis impersonators could be so intriguing! This is a great suspense with likable characters with interesting stories of their own. I love the Memphis setting that’s so easy to picture. Good narrator!

Narrator

She didn’t have enough distinction in her voice to tell which character she was referring too.

Surprising Story

JWright
Because I had enjoyed the suspense and puzzles in other Bradley novels of the series, I downloaded this one; however, when I read the synopsis, I wasn’t sure I wanted to read about “Elvises.”
I was surprised and pleased. Erin’s character was wonderful.

Good book, enjoyed the series

Rachel's Mom was murdered, thought to have happened during a burglary. Now Elvis impersonators are dying. How are they connected? Rachel and Boone set out to discover the truth. When I first read the setting for the book, I thought it sounded cheesy with the impersonators. I was wrong. This book was well done, and all the loose ends get tied up.

HORRIBLE NARRATOR!!!

I really like Patricia Bradley, but this narrator is so bad it is distracting from the story. She has NO excitement and is so boring, she puts you to sleep. I am returning this book and will not be listening to the others in this series because they have the same narrator.

A surprising ending

We've read all 3 books in series. Good narration. Some parts get bogged down in conversations between the characters to the point of losing interest. But then something will (finally) happen. We really appreciate a clean book. No language, no sex, no graphic violence. But a pretty good plot.
