This story is a classic and it’s so charming that once you already know it in your own language, hearing the French brings it a whole new touch. Although this is supposed to be a children’s story, I feel like this story is one you’re never too old to enjoy. It brings out your imagination and helps you think of actual philosophical things while being something that’s also easy enough for children to follow along. The voice that’s used for the French is quite lovely and friendly. It doesn’t sound intense at all, instead it sounds happy and it’s pretty easy to follow along if you know some French. Even if your French isn’t great but you’re learning, listening to this audiobook is a great way to practice your listening. The English is cheerful too, the narrator for both the French and English both have very delightful voices. Overall, being able to listen to both the English and French really does help you whenever you’re trying to learn French. Whether you’re trying to learn it yourself or trying to teach your children it, this is a wonderful way to do it that’s easy to follow along and has a very endearing tone to it. No matter what age you are, you’re never too young or old to enjoy Le Petit Prince.

I loved it!

The learning method is like kids learning when they're a baby.
First you read a part in English on PDF and then you listen and read the same part in French.
It's simple and very efficient, and after some time your brain starts to work alone. It's like you know what the voice will say, because your brain already translate and is expecting the words.
I loved, certainly help me understand more about french language.

Simply beautiful story, for all ages

After reading (or listening to) this charming, yet profound story, one can no longer see the stars as mere lights in the night sky...and a single rose acquires new significance. The infinite value of true friendship, and of meaningful one-on-one relationships, is beautifully illustrated.

Awesome piece of French literature

This was an amazing and engaging story which has helped me learn not only the French language buts also to pronounce French words and their meaning from English to French. It’s really a good stuff for amateur learner intending to learn French as second language.

Great Listen for Beginners!

As a beginner French speaker, this audio is great for any English-to-French speakers and vice versa. Both languages are spoken clearly; not so slowly that the book becomes boring, but not too fast that it's hard to keep up. Wonderful use of a classic! Even listening to the French in conjunction with the English has allowed me to make sense of some French words.

A Smooth Listening, and Easy to Rewind

Would you consider the audio edition of Le petit prince (The Little Prince) to be better than the print version?

Having only studied French in High School, and as a first time experiencing this book, I would say that experiencing it in audio format was a lot smoother and easy to listen to.

Any additional comments?

The first thing that captured my attention was the fact that audible allows you slow down or speed up the narration of the book depending on your skill level. Both narrations were smooth, clear-cut, and easy to listen to. It's something that I would definitely listen to on bed time while having a hard time falling asleep, or working on a tedious project that allows for some background music/story telling.

great educational book!

I thought this book was very helpful and a great idea. I think it's wonderful for children to learn and grow and exploring another language is a great way to do that.  I've had a love of the French language ever since I was in middle school and I was even able to learn something from this book.  I think it's a cute story and a great read for both kids and parents. 

A very nice and engaging story line

Le Petit Prince is an ow-some piece of French literature. The audio book will truly help anyone interested to learn the French language.This was a perfect brush up. I learned new words, phrases, correct conjugation.I also liked the tone of the narrator making the whole session alive. it is for sure a timeless story.

Very Easy Listening!

This is a very sweet story anyone can relate to! Whether they are young or old. The narrator has a very clear and pleasant voice and you'll find yourself drifting away to another place! I took french classes in High school and thought that I had lost all knowledge of the french language. But wow, as soon as I started to listen to "The Little Prince", I found myself translating in my mind, as each word was read. I really enjoyed this story and as I continue to read it, over and over, I find that it is reigniting my love for French culture! This is a MUST read for anyone!
