Story
In his signature style of stand-up comedy bits, Jeff Allen shares the inspirational and at times laugh-out-loud story of how God rescued him from alcoholism and despair through the book of Ecclesiastes. At times, his story is tragic and even tear-jerking—but in the end, it demonstrates that God takes a customized approach to reaching each of His children. Known as “the King of Clean Comedy,” Allen’s memoir won’t disappoint.

Casey Wilson has a lot on her mind and she isn’t afraid to share. In this dazzling collection, each essay skillfully constructed and brimming with emotion, she shares her thoughts on the joys and vagaries of modern-day womanhood and motherhood, introduces the not-quite-typical family that made her who she is, and persuasively argues that lowbrow pop culture is the perfect lens through which to examine human nature.

Story
Have the day-to-day realities of being a dad and husband left you frustrated or worn out? You're not alone. Jerrad Lopes felt that way too...until he started blogging about his struggles and discovered thousands of other men who want to be good husbands and fathers but don't know where to start. You will learn that spiritual leaders realize their story isn't the story - it's all about Jesus; point their wives, children, community, and world toward God; stumble their way through spiritual leadership rather than doing nothing; and seek humility rather than strive for perfection.

Story
Who does Jesus love? The stranger who looks strange. The driver who cuts us off in traffic. The person online who thinks differently than we do. Loving people is hard. Especially when it involves the difficult people in our lives and those different from us. We say we love others, but really we don’t. Instead of loving, we hurt, belittle, and overlook people. Which is precisely why we need to learn how to love — from Jesus and from one another.

Story
Have you ever looked at your life and wondered, “How on earth did things get so hard?” I have—more times than I can count. I’ll never forget how helpless I felt when it seemed like our life was falling apart, when our oldest daughter faced seemingly endless brushes with death, or when our finances were in shambles. In those moments, I felt everything I’d ever dreamed of, or God had ever promised, was shattering at my feet. But I’ll also never forget when things changed, when on the darkest of days I heard a voice whisper, “There is beauty in the broken.”

Publisher's summary
King Here is the eye-opening true story of God’s unfolding plan to bring a rich man through the “eye of the needle”.
Trusting God and sharing Jesus with aging parents can be difficult. As Trish Porter Topmiller watched her father’s casket be lowered into the ground, she knew the complicated jigsaw puzzle of his life finally held the missing piece - Jesus. But for years, his life seemed as far away from grace, and a believing faith in God, as a person can be. A multimillionaire entrepreneur who believed his financial fortress (and business acumen) was invincible, he turned into a workaholic adrenaline junkie - and ultimate opioid statistic who had given up on life. Even then, grace found him.
King Here offers hope that no matter how old, how rich or how addicted someone is, it’s never too late to meet Jesus. Trish shares her father’s inspiring, yet tragic life story - filled with adventure and color and unique escapades - to reveal God’s plan for an old rich man who thought he had no need for God. Stepping back to see the big picture brings to light the hope and joy that God truly can answer prayers and do the impossible, but it doesn’t always look the way listenerd expect. In this moving tribute to her father, Trish encourages listeners to never give up on loved ones who seem “too far gone” for God to reach.

Story
Annie F. Downs admits she's not exactly the bravest girl in the world. She still cries sometimes when she leaves her parents' home in Georgia, she's never jumped out of a plane, and she rides roller coasters only to impress boys. But Annie knows that courage resides inside each and every one of us, and she's on a mission to triumph over her own fears while encouraging listeners to do the same.

Prayer seems like it should be so simple. Yet when it comes to actually praying, often it feels awkward and complicated. I mean...what should you actually pray about? What do you say? Is there anything you should or shouldn't say? Do you have to speak out loud? Where do you even start?

Story
For decades, Kathie Lee has had deep conversations about her faith with anyone who is interested in talking about it. What she discovered early on is most people are very willing to talk about Jesus: atheists, agnostics, Scientologists, Jews, broken-hearted Catholics, confused Baptists, Pentecostals, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Hindus alike. While some of the people Kathie Lee has spoken with do not share her belief that Jesus is the Messiah - as prophesied for centuries by prophets in the Hebrew scriptures - they nonetheless have a universal fascination with him.

Story
Do we love people like Jesus loves them?Jesus loved verbs. He loved action words such as live, come, rest, learn, hear, give, go, and even die. Wouldn’t it make sense that the people who claim to follow Jesus would love the same words Jesus loved?Unfortunately, somewhere along the way someone tried to make the word Christian an adjective. So now people speak of "Christian" books and "Christian" music and "Christian" schools.

Chad Veach directs listeners away from clichéd Sunday school answers that fail to offer real comfort or provide faith-building insights. Instead he draws from God's promises in the Bible and from the story of his own daughter's diagnosis of a devastating and debilitating disease to reveal simple, purposeful steps for dealing with pain.

I didn't want it to end!
Trish Porter Topmiller brings you through the depth of her most personal pain as she transforms it into one of the greatest inspirational stories I've ever heard. She brings to life her movie-like story in a way that is endearing and relatable.
I can personally relate to her story as I pray for my own father to accept Jesus.
I pray that people are touched deeply by her story and that great change begins in our communities because of it! Well done!

Who’s the Judge? Me? You? Mr. King ? or OUR KING?
KING HERE is a gripping true story about a man who had it all; but had nothing of eternal value until another man came into the empty man’s life to be an instrument in the harvest of what the author had planted years before, and had been watering whenever she could amidst the storms in his life, as well as those in her own life. That woman happens to be his daughter; this man, King Here, happens to be the author’s Dad.
Trish Porter Topmiller takes the reader through a variety of sometimes funny, sometimes somber vignettes, that shape the character of the man with the last name of “King”. Organized through the flow of powerful “Chuckisms” that I personally wanted to rush to write down and keep in my own Journal, Trish reveals the things that made her Dad tick, the fortune that he made, and the associated relationship and health losses along the way, including an opioid addiction, and, at the very end, his will to live.
Amidst grief and loss in Trish’s own life, her story about her Dad shows how it is never too late to be redeemed spiritually. All it takes is God’s perfect timing to shift what was a King…into becoming one who now belongs to the KING.
What solace this gives after the last page. To be reminded that only God is the Judge and it is He who allows us to all go down the path of life, making the choices that we do, with the hope of ultimately seeing and receiving all the LOVE HE has for us.
The daughter author with a life filled with tragedy and inspiration, writing the story about her father with a life filled with jet-setter excitement, then illness and tragedy, then new life! You will not be able to put this down!
