Publisher's summary

Faith is trusting the truth your heart knows.

Danu, goddess of Wolfkind, has fallen for a mortal. Ever since fate thrust her into the body of a mortal woman, potent desires have plagued her. Surely returning to her true form will cure her of the longing to fall into bed with the handsome King Magnus. Unfortunately, in her current state, she has no power to transform herself. Worse, she has no power to save her people from the wicked demigod intent on subjugating them.

King Magnus has waited 50 years for Seona, the human woman prophesied to become his queen and the mother of his heir. Now that he has her, she wants nothing to do with him. Until a terrible accident steals her memory. Where Seona once hated him, she now flirts with him. Where she once fled his protective custody, she now marvels at every nuance of life within his castle walls.

Magnus has been betrayed too many times to trust easily. Seona’s new behavior is suspect. But try as he might, he cannot deny his growing passion for her. Just when he begins to believe Seona will finally be his in every way, he learns a truth that rocks him to his core and puts his kingdom in peril. To save his people, he must rely on a new, fragile faith that challenges everything he thought he knew, and risk losing a love that transcends mortality.

Warning: Two pairs of “happy ever afters” are on the line in this wild ride of a fantasy romance. It is recommended that listeners experience The Wolf and the Highlander (Highland Wishes, Book 2) first.

Excellent Story!

I received this audio book for free in exchange for my honest review. This extremely well written and impeccably narrated tale has everything you could want in a fantasy story. It comes complete with mystery, intrigue, magic, love, sex and even a dragon. How could you not enjoy that?

I thoroughly enjoyed this series by Ms. Gage. Something tells me Alexander is not finished with his chance to rule & bully in this realm.

I enjoyed this Series

I enjoyed everything except the order the books were shown in. Wishing for a highlander exposes the story line of Choosing for a highlander. Choosing for a Highlander should have been first in the series then wishing for a highlander. Besides this it was a great series.

Another great one by Jesse Gage!

How do I explain how remarkable this story was to listen (or read!) First of all the story was terrific. Jesse Gage easily leads us into this other world where Wolfkind (hot dudes who are wolf-like but totally hot. Did I say hot? Because ... so hot.) are alive and living in a version of the medieval times in another plane from humans. But this isn't a fantasy, and this isn't a historical book. No - this is a romance with fantasy and historical elements.
King Magnus (fanning self) has been patient, but he is ready to find his own true love and have children. But unfortunately, even though the goddess Danu has told him in a vision that his love is coming, when Seona arrives, she is far from impressed with King Magnus. (She totally hates him actually.) Then a twist as crazy as Freaky Friday happens and Seona and THE GODDESS DANU switch bodies. And well, hijinks ensue naturally. This is a must-read for lovers of historical and fantasy stories. Both sides of your personality will be in heaven listening to or reading this book. I also want to commend the narrator, Marian Hussey. What a great performance! Two huge thumbs up!

Great story and performance. The story is just as good as the first part if not better. There are many unexpected turns in the story.
