Publisher's summary

Lady Justice has unwittingly entered a religious war. Who better to fight for her than Walt Williams?

Walt and his sweetie, Maggie, have just returned from a honeymoon that was packed with love, fun, mystery, and danger. Now it's time for them to adjust to living under the same roof - quite the challenge for a couple in their sixties, both of whom have never been married before! Suddenly Maggie's feeding Walt fiber - lots of fiber - taking up almost all the closet space, and even getting rid of Walt's favorite old recliner. But nothing could be better than having Maggie by his side when a great threat arises and Walt is, as usual, smack dab in the middle.

When Walt and his partner, Ox, are patrolling the Gay Pride Parade, a bomb goes off near them. They come out okay, but many are dead or seriously injured. Shortly after, the police squad learns the bombs are homemade by a group of religious fanatics calling themselves God's Avenging Angels. The Avenging Angels believe it's their job to rain fire and brimstone on Kansas City, their Sodom and Gomorrah. The next attacks could be anywhere in the metro, so all cops are needed to comb the city and find the perpetrators. Walt and Ox are on the case, which continues to be explosive.

In this compelling addition to the Lady Justice series, Robert Thornhill brings back all the characters listeners have come to love for more hilarity and higher stakes. You'll laugh, and you'll be on the edge of your seat until the big finish. Don't miss Lady Justice and the Avenging Angels!

Funny And refreshing

This has got to be the best story I have had the pleasure of reading in a long time. I love the humor and the story. Walt and Willy make a good team. And Maggie omg the colon cleanse that she had Walt do was so funny I almost wet myself listening to it because it was so true. Cant wait to get my second book on this series.

Lady Justice Saves The World or at Least Kansas

Someone has to take on saving the country from religious nut terrorists. One would think this would be the FBI or Homeland Security, but Walter Williams the senior (in age) policeman manages to end up in the middle of terror plot against Kansas City.
Sometimes you have to remind yourself not to take everything to seriously and just sit back and enjoy the story and the humor only the more mature can understand.

Book 4

Which scene was your favorite?

This 4th installment in the Lady Justice series is another hit by the author. The hilarious antics of Walt Williams and friends as they fight the forces of evil is very entertaining. This story also addresses a very serious and dark topic, of a group of religious fanatics who believe they are doing God's will by killing the sinners in Kansas City. You will laugh at times, and you will be on the edge of your seat in suspense at others. I could not wait for book 5.

A little darker tone

Any additional comments?

Although a little bit darker, it was an enjoyable story. Not enough of the gang for me. Still some laugh out loud moments. I received this audiobook for free from the author for my unbiased review.

Pretty Good

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I actually enjoyed this installment much more than the last couple books in the series. The plot was good, and I found the religious zealots to be quite an interesting topic. I wasn't all that interested in the subplot of Willie finding his family from his aunt's will, and I zoned out a bit when they were investigating. It was also pretty humorous, especially with Maggie's attempts to make Walt healthier.

It was quite an enjoyable book and possibly one of my favourites of the series.

Lady Justice and the Avenging Angels

This is another great book with some amazing characters. Down to earth retired man who becomes a cop and seems to get himself into trouble a lot aways finds a way out. I loved this story and cannot wait to dive into another with this group.

What a thrilling ride, love the author and narrato

I so love this series the author put delightful fun that I found myself laughing outloud, with everyone around me thinking I had lost my mind. It is filled with wonderful twists. I love the authors off the wall humor that makes you laugh, chuckle and roll your eyes. It is one of the most delightful series I have listened to in a long time. After listening to this I can’t wait to start the next one to see what Will gets his self and his friends into. Danger, thrills, adventure of an old man who wanted to become a cop but had no idea it would be this dangerous or exciting. You get a little of everything from this author, in this book he brings cult into it and how one man controls so many. You have murder, near death as the hunt is on to bring down the cult, while saving thousands of lives almost losing his own. Walter, his friends and his cop buddies will keep you laughing as they go into health, history, love and life, as they work on a history mystery, and finding out who is behind It. This was a thrilling, exciting, dangerous listen that pulled me in from the first page.

Mr Kuch is a wonderful narrator from his male to female voices you are captivated, he really brings Walter to life with his dry humor that fits him to a T. Each of his character voice really fit what I picture the character to sound like which makes it very easy to picture them in your mind. I had no trouble picturing the danger, ribbing, humor and excitement as it unfolds. There are no background noise, no repeating of words and no volume changes. He brings true emotions to his characters you can feel the power of the excitement, danger, thrills, and humor along with the dry humor of dear old Walter. I cannot tell you just how thrilling this audio was and how much I enjoyed his work. The narrator knows how to bring you the thrills, excitement that holds your attention from the first page until the last. I doubt I would have enjoyed this so much had I just read it, Mr. Kuch and the author has given me many hours of humor, so intense that at times I had to close my eyes as my mouth goes into an O and I think oh no lol. I really can’t wait to listen to more of this series from him.

Until you listen to one of the Lady Justices audios or read one of the books you truly do not know what you are missing. I am so thrilled to have found this author he knows how to pull the reader in from the thrills, to danger to his wonderful humor along with his weird sense of humor that keeps you laughing but at the same time holding your breath as near death takes over and the thrills of Walter humor once he gets out of the mess he gets into. I love all the characters and what they bring to the stories. This series is truly a work of art that holds your attention from the first page until the last. I never want one of his stories to end and can’t wait until the next one takes off. If you want a truly delightful series to read this is the one for you. I have found you can’t go wrong with one if this authors books.

Avenging Angels Book 4 of Lady Justice

Excellent addition to the Lady Justice Series. Each book touches on real life tragedies. This one tells of false Profits claiming to seek revenge on God's behalf, striking down sinners. There are many casualties in this book. Sad but this does and is happening in the world today.
Even with all the terror in this book and true to the style of Robert Thornhill you will find laughs. An excellent story and a must for mystery comedy lovers.

As always George Kuch's narration is flawless and excellent.

Lady Justice and the Avenging Angels

Lady Justice
and the Avenging Angels:
Robert Thornhill

This is book 4 in a Wonderful series, by an older author!!! I absolutely adore These books. They are quite enjoyable without gratuitous sex, but innuendo gives them enough umph.

Walt and Maggie are home from their Hawaiian honeymoon and trying to settle in to cohabitation. Meanwhile Willie discovers a mystery from his past. A group of religious extremists are attacking "sinners," and Walt and Ox are hot on their trail.

One question I have is the inspiration for this book. I have my own idea, but won't discuss it here. I look forward to the next audiobook.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. George Kuch is absolutely delightful to listen to!
