Publisher's summary

Listen to the Land of the Elementals, Books 1-3. Over 480,000 words in one convenient box set!

Life is cruel. Arbor learns this lesson the hard way when everything he loves is taken from him in a single night. Left alive by the men who butchered his family, Arbor has two options: give up and perish, or rise up and fight to take back the life he's lost. To do that, though, he'll have to leave behind the only home he's ever known and venture out into the world beyond.

What he doesn't yet realize is that the world is a much more dangerous place than he could ever have imagined. A world filled with magic, monsters, and mythic beasts powerful enough to destroy entire nations!

Warning: Contains mild profanity and content that may not be suitable for children.

Annoying MC

Just started haven’t even gotten past chapter 10 and already pissed at the MC,

Spoilers!!!!!!

Firstly, forgot about his sis and chose to fight against a overwhelmingly superior opponent

Secondly, decided to be a superhero rescuing someone who he doesn’t know when he’s got a mission to find said sister

Thirdly, killing government officials (and he’s never killed before btw)even though he could’ve tried to knock them out therefore not being an outlaw

Some Voices and sounds were irritating.

Some of the audio you have a hard time hearing, then squeaking loud. Weird stuff.

Good start. Bad end.

By the end of the first book I was looking for things to look up a bit in the second book.
The second book did make it appear that the story was improving and by the end I just knew that the third book was where positive scenarios would come together.
The third book started good but by the end….I no longer care. There was no positivity, quite literally nothing that makes me want to read the fourth book even though I have already purchased it.

Great listen

At first I wasn’t feeling the series. But given the chance my opinion quickly changed. It’s engaging and well thought out. Already got book 4 and can’t wait to see what happens to the brother and sister combo and the new kingdom. Just hope it continues to be a great story

Terrible characters and Interesting world

Performance: sides some weird blank spots in the audio… the performance was well done by the team. It is nice to hear women and men voices.

The story was terrible (MCs), had tons of potential but decides to waste in on getting lost in the woods forever…

Great performance for what they had to deal with.

The story was as bland as a hospital pancake. The characters as shallow as a special needs swimming pool. Fortunately this doesn’t become a total travesty until book 3.

(Spoilers if that’s possible, this book is extremely predictable)

The magic activations or whenever he used his “origin” to touch others “magic” was clearly a euphemism for orgasms. On top of that the thought process of the sister when she becomes more “pragmatic” was clearly incest. Talking about how she’s going to keep her brother from other females because she was clearly superior made me incredibly uncomfortable. With all this going on the cringe inducing description of these characters physical appearance sounded like horny teenager going through a very late puberty. Every two seconds you hear something along the lines of: “she hardly had any fat and the curves of her buttocks”, etc.

The fight scenes were a redeeming quality though equally perplexing later in the series. Overall: the narration team made it interesting, some of the characters were funny then quickly forgotten. Romance in this book is bewildering at best, mostly a dude humble-bragging about how he knows these woman like him; then to say something about his dead fiancé that was totally forced. The first two books are paced quick enough to be less annoying. The third book should have just been left out.

not real crazy about how the sister is being made the bad guy and not crazy and Arbor being kept away from home. but over all good books.

Great series!!!

Towards the beginning of the book it was a bit of a struggle to listen to but as the story progresses, the author's writing and style seemed to solidify itself and the book flows much better. Loved the boxed set and I can't wait for more

One of my new favorite series.

I will re-listen to this series often. Hearing many voices from Dungeon Lord has been fun and the story has been riveting. I only have one complaint about the storyline, which is an interesting thing. Maybe you will find that spot and feel the same.
