Bouton was called a Judas, a Benedict Arnold and a “social leper” for having violated the “sanctity of the clubhouse.” Baseball commissioner Bowie Kuhn tried to force Bouton to sign a statement saying the book wasn’t true. Great insight and fun stories
Lots of great information that I hadn’t heard before. Full of great behind-the-scenes stories as well as Coach LeBeau’s perspective on things we watched. Plenty of entertaining stories, the best of which is one from his playing days which is hilarious and alone is enough to make this book a great read/listen! Too bad the picture he discussed isn’t included!
