So eye-opening!

I’ve been a Christian for almost all of my life and I had never really taken the time to look into the objections skeptics and agnostics may have to the Christian faith. This collection of letters between Greg Boyd and his dad are candid, raw and delightful, all at the same time. I would really recommend this book!

Awesome story

Truth. Wisdom. A moving story and well done. Very unique but the compilation of letters comes together to tell a story in a way I have never listened to a book before

Amazed

This book actually encouraged me to reach out to a lost friend in similar shape as the father in the story. While I’m still in the midst of the debate I’ve learned more about my own faith than I could have ever imagined throughout this book. The story within the apologetics to me, sets this book apart. By far my favorite book I’ve read to this date.

Awesome and Hopeful for the believer and the skeptic

As a believer who prays for my own father, this book shows the way to have loving and respectful conversations on the topic of Christianity with a parent. The skeptical questions that are asked, cover most topics that one would ask. This book has been a true blessing to my heart and gives me much hope for the future of my loved ones. For anyone who is a skeptic, these are authentic and respectful conversations highlight the important points and dismiss myths of Christianity.

This book saved my faith

I grew up as a Christian, amazing Christian home with parents who loved me and fought for my well being and spiritual faith. Much to their horror I rejected everything they said for many years causing them unimaginable pain and suffering, yet they loved me through it. After years I had a suicide attempt that was cut off from what can only be God Intervention. I dropped all I had and followed Jesus the next day at a church service I found myself sitting. Though over the years the simple love of Jesus was buried with doctrine, theology, apologetics and my love got lost in it all. My skepticism and anger grew, especially after I got married to my wonderful wife. I saw I couldnt fake the happiness or the “walk of faith” any more. My questions were every single one Greg’s amazing father had. This book sank its teeth into me, and Jesus healed the hardness around the heart saying, “it’s about me,” and I’m floored. The end had me in tears for about 30 mins after reading. I’m serious, non stop tears. What a beautiful book, and a God glorifying story! How beautiful Jesus is comes out bright as can be in this book! ITS A MUST LISTEN TOO!

Excellent Read

Highly recommend for both believers and non-believers. The dialogue between father and son is both honest and authentic. I love that they don't shy away from hard-to-answer questions but I also love that sometimes there isn't a clear cut answer. Truly inspiring!
