Publisher's summary

Katie MacAlister, best-selling author of paranormal romantic comedies, ignites a devilishly lusty story with Light My Fire. The gorgeous Aisling Grey, introduced in You Slay Me, juggles being a demon lord, a Guardian, and a wyvern's mate all at once - though not always successfully. Recently relocated to London, Aisling and her doggie demon sidekick, Jim, are eager for a fresh start. Drake the hunky dragon, however, has other plans for her.

Aisling is definitely in trouble this time

I do really enjoy these books. In this 3rd Aisling Grey book she really gets herself into some hot water and I wonder how she will remedy this. In each book things seem to get worse and worse and this book is no exception. The romance scenes don't do much for me in this series and I fast forward through them. I'm not sure if its the narrator whom I actually like or the scenes themselves though there weren't many in this book. I am hoping in the 4th and final book some things get wrapped up!

Another calamity for Aisling.

There was all kinds of adventure for Aisling in Light my fire. More demons and demon lords, war with the scept, war with other entities, inquisitions from guardians, someone trying to kill Aisling, a dragon to soothe and not to mention a mother in law to contend with just to name a few. Aisling trusty side kick is still smart mouthing it and a cab is always ready. Similar to the other books so if you like them, you will like this one. Narrator is the same and I enjoyed her readings. I did notice a small amount of swallowing so you are on your own if this bugs you.

Just a fun series, excellent narration

Typical vampiresque-love story but the narrator makes this series fun, fun, fun. Her voices enhance the characters personalities and make the book worth listening to. I love the characters, the sarcasm and wit, Aisling's fierce independence, the relationship between Aisling and Jim (her guardian in dog form), and her love-hate relationship with Drake. If you like easy listening with entertaining narration, this is a good one.

Aisling is in it again!!

Aisling is, once again, in constant messes that show no easy no way to get out. Drake is learning to put her needs in a place of importance. Very entertaining book with great characters, story, and world.

Hot and sexy but where's the rest of the series?

This book feels like Harry Potter meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Well, a Buffy the Vampire Slayer rated R for sexual content. MacAlister's heroine is hilarious as she struggles with the arcane underworld of Europe's demon princes, guardians, wyverns, and other magical folk.

My only difficulty was that this book seems to be third in a series. When will Audible.com be making the first two books in the series available?

That swallowing thing

Rosenblat is a good performer but the swallowing thing is hugely distracting. It just seems like the production people or the director could do something about it.

Bad luck thy name is Ashling

I've never listened to a book that has the heroine deal with sooo much bad luck. You have to continue to listen just to find out how Ashling is going to get herself out of this fine mess. She even says that life can't get much worse and, lo and behold, it does. Fortunately she has a great support system in the form of a demon named Jem and one of the fates, as well as, the love of a dragon.

This book ended with a tiny bit of a cliff hanger so I immediately went to the next book. There are four books to this series and I recommend that you read (listen) to them in order.

As I've stated before, I really enjoy series because you can immerse yourself in the lives of the characters and in the they world they live. Isn't that what reading is all about?

Just one thing…

I like the story and the narrator…for the most part. As in the first Aisling Grey book, every once in a while, the narrator sounds like she’s swirling her spit around in her mouth.

Fast Paced Fun Entertainment!

Aisling Grey's character is growing and so are her powers in this unique fantasy world. It seems fate is dictating her future and she is none too pleased with the direction it's heading. The dialog is fast and humorously snarky, the action is virtually nonstop and the revolving cast of characters keeps you entertained as the plot moves forward. Take a break from real life to enjoy this entertaining series!
