Publisher's summary
"High school sweethearts, cutest couple, and together forever" were the words that used to describe Amy and Stuart. Now, with college behind them and careers in full swing, they are not the couple they once were. Those happy words have been replaced by separation, disappointment, and drifting apart. As they face the end of their forever, a high school reunion may just be what these two need to rekindle their love.

Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Short Coming of Age-Solid, Well Above Average Work
Throughout high school and college Amy and Stuart were known as "the couple." Now they are living their lives separately. Stuart is the first one to bring up the fact, they are just not happy or possibly even in love anymore. Amy knows that he is right, but what to do about it?
I enjoyed this book that Eryn Scott has written and in the excellent performance by Stephanie Bentley uses to carry the listener on this journey.
This is a wonderful listen. I would put it in the category of Chic Lit … Perfect for an afternoon at the beach or the right length to listen to after everyone has settled in for the night and the reader/listener has a few moments to his or herself.
I was surprised at the amount of material in the storyline, Scott/Bentley do not waste a moment of the 1r 3min time.
NOTE: A few intimate scenes, so I recommend 18 years and older.

Short entertainment
I think this is an extremely relatable short story that helps us all remember to not become sedentary in our lives and our relationships.
Stephanie Bentley did a fantastic job narrating. I don't think I have listened to anything by her before but I will definitely keep my eyes peeled. She had to do a lot of make narration and her voice can change to sound deeper without sounding corny.
Very good short listen. This audiobook was provided to me by the author, publisher or narrator in exchange for my unbiased review through audiobook boom.

Sweet Clean Romance
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would. This book gave a realistic look at how people in a relationship naturally change over time and the importance of self reflection.
Which scene was your favorite?
The last scene of the book was great. The ending wrapped up the story perfectly.

Good Short Story
I loved the story. it should be listened to by couples especially those who are contemplating divorce. I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review via audiobook boom. This couple have been together for a long time and have grown apart and the husbnd wants a separation but he is suffering from something else that has his thinking wrong. They still love each other so what are they to do? Loved the fact that thye made good choices before going to marriage counceling. Liked the narrator as well. The fact that each chapter switched between the two was also a good choice of writing style.

Satisfying novella!
I am a huge fan of short novellas, and this one was extremely well written. Many times, they are too short and do not have good character development. In this case, Eryn Scott has hit a home run. The characters of Amy and Stuart come to us at the age of 28. They have settled into married life after being high school sweethearts and Stuart has asked for a separation. Amy is shocked by the request, but knows things have not been good between them. The two reflect on their relationship over a period of time and both end up at their high school reunion. There, Amy and Stuart are able to talk about missing each other, what was going wrong and how to fix the problems, starting fresh and keeping things that way. I especially liked that they were both open to counseling as well. A little angst, a little sadness and a lot of happiness, this novella brought it all.
Stephanie Bentley was the narrator of this book. It is the first time I have heard her, and absolutely loved her voice. She has a good range for both male and female characters and was very pleasant to listen to.

A very sweet short story
Would you listen to Like We Used To: A Short Story again? Why?
Yes, it was very quick but it was a cute story that makes you think of your own personal relationship. While I was listening I was thinking about my marriage and things we could do to keep it exciting. It hurt a little when you learned about their point of views in the separation and a little angsty when they saw each other again but in the end it was a beautiful realistic story.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Like We Used To: A Short Story?
I loved when they saw each other at the reuinion.

A sweet, tender short story!
Like We Used To by Eryn Scott is a very sweet romance. The characters and the situation they are in is very real. Stephanie Bentley's narration was as good as the story was. Her voice was true to each character. I look forward to more books from each of them. I would recommend this audio book to anyone. Teens as well as older women would enjoy this sweet, clean story.
