About this listen

A vivid trip through the mind of the top professional wrestler in the business—a nobody from nowhere who achieved his ambitions and walked away with the gold and the girl of his dreams.

Ride alongside Jon Moxley as he retraces some of the highways traveled on his remarkable journey. Revel in the never-before-told stories about his early life in Cincinnati, Ohio; the gritty independent wrestling scene where he cut his teeth; the complicated corporate landscape of the WWE where he bucked against authority; and the rebellious upstart AEW, where he won the championship in 2020 and was finally free to achieve the vision of the wrestler he'd always wanted to be.

With plenty of pitstops and revelatory insights, including grisly ultraviolent encounters, crazy characters who became lifelong friends, and his unforgettable matches in Japan, MOX is the riveting account of the life of a brawler. It is a tale written in blood and soaked in debauchery, with a good dose of wisdom accumulated along the way.

More than a backstage pass into the arena, MOX is a ticket into the ring. Once inside, you'll never look at pro wrestling the same again.

Great Story from a great guy

Fantastic from start to finish. He comes across as a very likebale, intelligent, humble and entertaining guy. The feel is though you are sitting at the bar being told an amazing success story while just hanging out with the guy who lived it.

I feel like a scumbag, and I love it.

Amazing. I wish there was more. Mox reading this in his own words truly felt like a promo he would cut. Hearing his story and how he looks at life was truly amazing. Seems like the best dude ever. Highly recommend cracking open a tall boy, smoking some trash menthol cig you bummed off a guy at the corner of the local dive quick mart and get lost within.

Amazing

First time wrestling bio reader

This was great. I’m legitimately amazed by how much this book means to me. I listened to it during the early parts of my work shift for the past week and I was struck how listening to it would make my days brighter. Mox is a wonderful storyteller in the ring, and I’m so pleased to see it translates well to writing. A lot of his life hit home for me, and it made me cry tears of joy and tears of sadness. I also laughed. Quite a bit. Out loud. I think I’m going to end up re-listening to this book over and over again for the rest of my life.

Setup was different, part of what made it great!

This was my first (completed) audio book in a while. I have a physical copy (pre-order months in advance) when I realize life is hectic, an audio is much easier for me to listen to on the move. Enjoyed that autobiography, don't think it would have made sense for anyone but Mox to read it. One of the few books I would recommend you share. As I feel there a few things to be taken from this book. If there is ever a book two (probably around the time he is ready to hang up the boots), I am getting it. Wrap up this journey.

PUNK SHIT to the MOX

Outstanding. Very easy to get into and keeps you entertained from the beginning with each chapter jumping from different points of views and events of his life. Great jokes, flick picks and songs suggestions.
