Publisher's summary

When her father is assigned the task of spying on the French Court, the charming and sweetly innocent Anne Boleyn is delighted by the thought of a new adventure. And she is not to be disappointed, for her beautiful sister, Mary, has been handed a mission: to let herself be seduced by the King of France in order to uncover his secrets. Mesmerized by the thrilling passion, intrigue, and betrayal that unfolds, Anne discovers the power of being a woman who catches the eye of a powerful king. And, as she grows into a beautiful young woman, she undergoes her own sexual awakening, each daring exploit taking her one step closer to the life that is her destiny.

Great Book

I have read several books about Anne's life at the English court with Henry VIII. I really enjoyed looking at her life at the French court. This was such an interesting and well written account.

rusty

I have read just about everything about this time in history...but I LOVED THIS. Though I understand this is Historical Fiction and gave me more insight of who she was and how she got there. and poor sister gave me greater understanding of that situation. even if you think you have read it all...this is a great read

Intriguing

I’ve always wondered about the years that Anne and Mary spent in the French Court. This account actually renders inaccurate some of my favorite works about their lives in the English Court. That is, if one can wholly believe the historical references without undertaking their own research. I be completed enough research to be comfortable with with Robin Maxwell’s pen and I wish she would cover the rest of Anne’s life with the brilliance and grace of this book. I was very excited to learn the progression of Anne’s education. Now I understand why Henry murdered her. Thanks Robin.
