awesome

Love this book, if you haven't been following this story from the beginning, please start with book one. this book is a flawless culmination of Kate Daniels struggle with who she is, and who she was born to be. I laughed, I cried, I got strange looks when grocery shopping. hands down my favorite book in the series. Rene Raudman was a great as usual. Her range of characters never fails to be impressive and consistent. she is the voice of Kate Daniels forever in my mind.
The only thing I can criticize is, this is the second to last book. it makes it all a little bitter sweet. I want so much for these characters to have a HEA, but I will miss them.

Another awesome addition.

So much has happened in this series that I decided to read it all over again from the beginning. I enjoyed this series better the second time around and I have a feeling that in the future I may go back and listen to them all over again. Kate is such a badass, sarcastic character, I just love her. I also love all the side characters and feel like they have become family, messed up and deranged but still family. There is so much adventure and action in this book that it has flown by. I think this series would also appeal to guys. Yes there is romance but it is minimal in the overall scheme of the story. There is a lot happening in this edition, Andrea has her baby and finally Kate and Curran get hitched. Narrator is great, to me she is Kate, she does great distinguishing other characters. I look forward to more book either in this series or in Julie and Derrek's series.

A rating...

My Review:
Overall: 4.5
Performance: 4.25
Story: 4.75

I really enjoyed this story. This one had Kate in a very different place...questioning her place in this world and what her heritage really means for who she is. Her father's line is very powerful...and that power is pulling at her. She's making questionable choices that are VERY unlike Kate. It's a very different place for her to be.

She's under a lot of stress...that power pulsing under her skin, very very black predictions for her ability to keep Curran and her son alive, and a wedding coming very soon that has its own set of stresses. Kate is not a girly girl and weddings pretty much require her to get in touch with that side of her a little bit. There's also Julie, who's also making questionable, worrying choices and a whole lot of the people in Kate's life that she loves in danger.

You can see the authors are ramping up the tension to go into book #10. I cannot wait. It will be interesting to see if they are able to finish the series in that book and where exactly they will take Kate and her father. There were some surprisingly soft scenes between the two of them in this book which were really very touching.

I've loved this series so much. It's just fantastic story telling and an incredibly creative world. These two authors are amazing!

SUPERB!

Kate's and Curan's love story continues. Wonderful plot. Kate's father is determined to control her and there is going to be showdown! Brilliant writing and as usual Renee Raudman is at her best with all the different voice for the characters. Very good continuation to an excellent series.

Her father must be stopped

Kate and Curran have set the date for their wedding, but her father is making things impossible once again. He continues to pressure, taunt, and threaten Kate by building a castle right on the border of Atlanta. If that wasn’t enough, he has kidnapped one of Kate’s acquaintances, Saimon, refusing to let him go. In one of Kate’s more crazy and dangerous plans, she will break into Mish-Mar, her father’s self-made prison, to spring Saimon. Her father must be stopped, but he is very powerful indeed and Kate is not sure how to proceed. An Oracle has seen Kate’s death, Curran’s death, and Kate’s unborn son’s death, or a combination of the preceding. Kate is scared and troubled and must change the future or else all may be lost. An excellent story with wonderful characters as usual.
