Acerca de esta escucha
Hi there! I'm Magical Girl Crystal Genocide, one of the twelve magical girls, and sworn protectors of Earth! We were like a superhero squad, but with more sparkles! We fought day and night to keep the baddies at bay and the Earth safe. But, one day, our best wasn't good enough.
So, we huddled up for a superhero brainstorm and decided to pool our powers for this mega, super-duper save-the-day plan. We kinda goofed. Big time. Instead of saving the day, we accidentally wiped out a quarter of the Milky Way.
Now, here I am, Crystal Genocide, in a bit of a pickle. I've landed on this bizarre planet, surrounded by odd monsters and folks who have magic that feels way too familiar. It's like they're copying our style, but not quite getting it right. My mission? Unravel this magic mystery, track down my magical girl gang, and maybe, just maybe, put back together the pieces of our home that we kinda, sorta blew up. Hopefully, I won't accidentally destroy this world too! Wish me luck!

The narration took what could have been slightly annoying characters and made them adorable.
Exactly the mood of a story that I needed. It put my head in a good place

The Twisting Fishhook?!?!??
An amazing start to a new series. I was enthralled from start to finish. A cutesy magical girl with godlike powers is transfered to another world where she must discover what has become of her friends. A fast paced adventure that wraps everything up nicely and sets up book 2 without any agonizing cliffhangers or weird chops. At no point did it feel rushed. The side characters didn't get fleshed out massively but the interactions with them never felt shallow or superficial, just enough to flavor the story nicely. Good mix of story and combat. A sailer moonish feel to it but adult. How can it not with a move like the.....Twisting Fishhook. That made me clench my butt and to pray it would never happen to anyone ever. Good read, worth the time and money.

Creative and Fun
I always like the way RavensDagger can put a unique spin on a story. A nearly unstoppable magical girl in a typical fantasy world is one of them. The plot has multiple layers to it, which adds some mystery to the mix. Crystal Genocide is a cute and fun character, and the side characters were not bad either. There are sporadic chapters pertaining to Rending Nightmare's origin interspersed throughout the book, and while they were OK, I found myself much less interested in them compared to the main story despite them being tangentially relevant. The book ended neatly and set up the next book and the rest of the series perfectly. Also, the narration had a whole cast of talent, so A+ for that. I appreciate the extra expense and work that went into that and it really adds to the experience. I'm looking forward to more... hopefully it will be soon.

Magical Girl Isekai Fusion?!
I love Ravensdagger books and I love Soundbooth theatre. There are some strange issues with the audio quality at a couple points and some noticeable take shifts, but it didn't diminish the quality or my enjoyment in a meaningful way so I'm not going to take off a star for it.
The story is fantastic. Ravensdagger is a solid author with a great sense of humor. This book has less of that than others in their works but it still comes through. It's tough to write an interesting power fantasy, but they've pulled it off well before and now done it again. My one complaint about Ravensdagger's books is that when they end I'm always eager for more. If any of you have read my reviews before you'll know I'm pretty critical and I don't have anything negative to say about this plot.
Soundbooth theatre's cast are an amazing group of talented individuals. Truly the premium way to enjoy literature. They bring books to life in an unrivaled way.
highly recommend.
